Fafnir isn't an easy 'Mech to play as, if you are downrange from it with cover, all it's got to hit you with is its lasers.
Edit: Phoenix Hawk IIC, please.

Otherwise, the HBS Battletech has mechs unreleased from MWO.

If so, I'd consider both MWO and MW5 mech needs together. In that case I'd definitely focus lighter 3025-period IS 'mechs, because the lack of those makes MW5 spam Cicadas etc. like there's no tomorrow.
So that could mean e.g. a Stinger+Wasp+Valkyrie pack, or perhaps a Whitworth.
For MWO in isolation the priorities would clearly be very different.
I think a Crusader would have a unique economic pull among everything that we don't yet have.

Not a bad idea. The Roughneck and Sun Spider are PGI originals and they are pretty good mechs.
Good hunting,

I was actually thinking about this yesterday in terms of the Gargoyle. No idea what there might be for options lore-wise (nor do I really care anymore so a PGI original would be fine), but in all seriousness, I wouldn't mind a fast-ish, IS mech with 14-16 energy hard points. There are several with 7 and the Banshee 3M can do 8, but that's it (I think?). Heck I think the most ANY IS mech can do is what, 9? 10 energy?
Actually, I suppose this would only work if they did this as an IS omni and gave one or two variants the big number hard points and then locked in an oversized engine to force it into the corresponding Gargoyle-like niche; but I think Paul or Russ at one point said they were opposed to ever introducing IS Omnis. Oh well.

Not quite as OP as the Kraken and a nice throw-back to another Mechwarrior developer whose original became canon.
It's an 85t Clan Omni with MASC but its hero variant, the Deimos 2 is a battlemech, which keeps things interesting.

Release the Bull Shark, much of the work is already done, it just needs to be integrated in MWO. I tried my best with the variants, to be close to lore as possible. It's basically an IS Mad-Cat MKII.

Bull Shark A
Bull Shark B
Bull Shark C
Bull Shark 1
Bull Shark 2
Bull Shark 3
Bull Shark Castle Bravo
Not sure about the quirks and variants. But that's the idea.

If pgi makes thier own original mechs would it allow them to sell merch for these mechs? If so they should really focus on doing this.
