Well I hope the rewards get more interesting in the other events, because this one isn't worth logging on for...

MC, non-cheesy, non-holiday cockpit items, GSP- these are the only prizes I personally care about anymore. Maybe mech bays, but unless they start making more mechs, not really an issue.

This stuff is like...why bother?

To those who have made the Holiday Events possible, you have my thanks. And that goes double for Mr. Matt Newman because he's been (as far as I know, may he reply and correct me if I'm wrong) the one core person that has really been putting extensive effort into keeping MWO away from falling to being dreary during this whole time. May these holidays be joyful & bright for both PGI's Staff and MWO's Player Base as we finish 2020 and go into a new year that's waiting for us.

Nice haven't played in months. This along with stocking stuffer might bring me back.

Don't get me wrong, I love free stuff.

BUT

All of this is window dressing.
When you look to one of MWO competitors (That Tank Game).
Their Holiday rewards are much more substantial, with reduced cost on vehicles, vehicle upgrades, Skins, as well as free vehicles.
Now I admit some of their gifts are window dressing as well, but most of them have an impact on actual game play or future purchase power(Real Monetary Cost reductions)

With the exception of the 7 days premium, what exactly are we receiving that can IMPROVE game play?

Given that it should work like an Advent Calendar in format, it happens to be just fine. This lets people choose which ones they want to redeem, and without the "Batch Claim Button" (as one might call it) accidentally causing someone to activate things like Premium Time before they had intended to.

Remember, we don't have the ability to pre-configure with checkboxes as to what we want to Claim before hitting that big button. It operates on an "Everything you have already earned access to" OR "Press me when you have it all done, but before time escapes and you lose it" type of principle. And yes, I've heard from someone who could wish for added enhancements to that "Batch Claim" functionality, which go so far as to include a "Claiming Rewards..." overlay after that big golden/yellow button has been properly pressed, in order to prevent pressing it multiple times and triggering an error by accident.

Anyway, aren't you able to access the In-Game Event Browser to quickly view the roster?

Just returned to this game for the first time in ages, seems the only thing that's changed is that I am in tier 3 somehow. The lack of anything changing in this game actually made it easier to slip back into. Happy hols folks and hope it goes well.
