Lucky you, it's pants and heavily skewed in one team's favour no matter the mode. It's a bit like Forest Colony in that regard, only a little less annoying simply because the ground clutter is a little more reasonable.

Just had Alpine today. Also had it few days earlier this week. Once in a (longer) while, I guess.

I've gotten Alpine like 2x the other day. It's not that bad even on my brawler Scorch as long as you know where to 'camp' it out while all the lurmwhores blow their loads at each other in their long-range pissing contest.

I'll admit the number of 'free' shots I got on my 2x Gauss ER PPC MAD4L was probably verging on criminal while the enemy team was crossing at around 1200m+ away.

I also vote for rarely picked maps, accumulate higher modifier,
and "use higher modifier" only on the 1 or 2 maps that I really want for the mech I'm playing.

I personally think it'd be better if you didn't vote at all and we dropped into random (real random) maps, it would be more like real Battletech as well imo.

The Alpine Peaks is glitters and genius! Battles on it amaze and delight! It was the very first map I played in this game, and I was amazed. Perhaps one of the smartest map in this game.

Map voting is a stupid mechanic to begin with. It's why we see the same 3 maps over and over again, with occasional Polar because some LRMer saved up his multiplier. Just go to random maps and leave it that way.

Easy fix - whichever map you were just on should not show up as a choice for your next match. Boom, problem solved.

Problem is you have 24 other players...

A better way is to change the map voting screen to always include the least played map for that season and randomise the other 3. If nobody votes Alpine, it will always appear, if people start voting Alpine it'll eventually switch for the next least popular map.

That would mean you'll not see some game modes for long periods of time. Since not every map allows every game mode.

imo most people like to brawl/med range and alphine is a noice long range pokey map for people that like to aim long range

Thats actually very effective if you team knows to take advantage of it

For you, with a lance chasing its 4 vs 1

But for your team its now 8 v 11, enough of advantage to win the game in detail.

But if your team don't know, notice, or care about that yeah...

its still fun, making them chase you!

they really need to change up the spawn areas though on this. used to be fun map but it usually only shows up with Domination and it kind of sucks. there is so much awesome map to use but you never get too.

Personally I have no problem with them, and have a plan for each
To me its more map knowledge and thus match making issue

I have played this map for 7 plus years and their are so many ways to play it
Today we just use a small portion of the map compared with before

I think its the pokey aspect of the map that people don't like
THE BEST TRADERS WIN MOSTLY!
Most people don't trade that good

For me if its assault mode the team that owns H7 first generally wins

Domination mode generally who owns the hill by the dish and pokes the best generally wins

Skirmish has more variables in a way and so more ways to approach it.
