Yeah, you wouldn't want to do anything crazy like LB20 and 4xSRM6A.

CLBX 10 and 4x CSRM6 will lift your game. Seriously anything in close is dead.

The pair of pulse lasers are going to do what exactly?

Any lock-on build will inevitably lead to your deterioration as you forget how to actually aim. It won't lift your game at all.

If I want to play clan lurms I use a cougar. You can fit three clrm15 and 8 tons ammo. It's quite the little beast if you get on a semi open map. You can drop two tons of ammo and put in two heavy or er mediums if you want some backup energy but I go commando with only missiles.

I know people hate lurms, that's kinda why they are so fun.

there is always a better build, and at this point in the game everything is a troll

but this is a mech that Free players can easily get and play at a high lvl

until someone slaps that piece of paper down on your Rock

the MK3 is for faster, better Locks
9 or more tons of Ammo can give you 1000 plus damage in good games

Lazors are because people always need a back up no matter how weak
i see Lurm boats all the time with just Lurms.

Average game this will give you 500 Plus damage

you just need to Skill up; range/missile/lock on stuff

and learn/practice like all styles or weapon choices of play

If your doing it right your trying to make a weak spot in there armor with your direct fire or working on a weak spot so your missiles can shred there insides

Backups mean you carry fewer heat sinks and ammo than you need. Lurm boats are for carrying as much heat capacity and ammo as possible to maximize their damage potential.

TC is bad on missile boats. You always should bring TAG. Laser AMS is objectively bad. Clan medium pulses are bad.

When linking builds try tho share them trough mechdb links, smurfy links or screenshots.

LRMs may be fun. They may even be effective in certain scenarios. They will not make you better at the game's core mechanics.

If you really want to ease in to positioning, situational awareness, and movement without depending too much on aim just use ATMs. They lock on, their damage scales with range (closer is better but they do 0 inside of 120m), and they're direct fire so they won't just lob over hills.

MK3
Targeting time boost 42.5%

maybe it don't lock faster, but it targets faster, so that it can start its lock sooner, in a practical matter i notice ezer faster locks, maybe i don't have the numbers to prove it

but it is what it is.

Ill never argue about more heat sinks or more Ammo, but everything is a trade off, and you have to deal with slots space and weight and at some point things just don't fit.

All that does is speed up the time it takes for the paper doll to appear showing your opponents armor. It does not decrease lock time by any measure. The only option for faster locks is a tag or someone else using tag on something you are targeting.

That's Target Info, not Target time.

well this targeting thing is very interesting, i know you're right about tag

it would be nice if pgi would weigh in, i know that some times locks take
longer for some unknown reason, also it seems if you hold your targeting direct
in centre of target it locks quicker, than if its just inside box but off center,
this is interesting though, i learn new things all the time
