Because you just used an 85 tonner for a loadout that would be fine on a 55 tonner.

If I had to try my hardest to come up with the worst possible build for an 85-tonner, I think this would be it.

It's one of the best IS long range laser snipers out there.
Just look at BattleMaster BLR-1G(S), available as a "Bundle":

+10% Range for all Energy weapons.
You can equip five (5) ER-Large Lasers on it!

OR, for medium range trading, consider this:

The 85ton BattleMaster BLR-1G(S) has some amazing quirks, if you are into energy weapons Assaults with some ballastics and some missiles.
+20% Range for Medium Lasers (basically turns them into ER-Medium Lasers, but less heat!)
-5% Medium Laser Heat
~For all other energy weapons +10% Range
+20% PPC velocity
+15% Ballistic Cooldown
+10% Ballistic Range
Quite agile for 85ton IS Assault!
