CT still intact. My AMS are still firing in the middle of the fight. I can still shoot my Large Laser.
PGI should at least make the death state <= 0 instead of < 1 since the game actually allows for fractional damage.

Hey! I was in that fight. To bad our Vapor Eagle couldn't land that kill shot but he fought right to the end GG

Looks like you still have some armour on that right shoulder. Go on then! Get in there and tank some damage!

Hello there, Elizander... You've hit really hard on a Bug there, one that others have also ended up being negatively affected by. Strange that it's the year of 2021 (and 3060 in the game apparently, even though it should be somewhere in 3062 if I remember correctly) and this madness hasn't received the much-needed repairs that it should have. I suggest you might want to have this thread shoved over to Patch Feedback, and head over to Contact MWO Support to make them aware of what happened.
Just out of curiosity, were you still able to aim the "C-ER Large Laser" on your Mech as well, or was it stuck aiming in only one direction?

This is a very old bug that old players already know about. It's been in the game for years. My CT probably had 0.01 to 0.99 health, but the game knocks your mech down once you go below 1.0 structure, but other systems don't consider you dead as long as you are above zero. You cannot aim. You can fire the weapons, but they shoot in the position they are locked at.
Given how long this bug has been around, most of us assume that PGI just has no interest going into the code to change a 1.0 to 0.0 somewhere.

this is how the game should be anyway, lose that leg you get to lay around and shoot... like MW2 all over again.

I assume this desync happens only on the client side? E.g. other players do not see your dead mech shooting.
