- be overly aggressive early on so I can die, quit the match, change mechs, and get away from the losers matchmaker saddled me with.
- make a forum post about how much matchmaker sucks
- ignore it
- uninstall for a while
- change mechs to a trolly stealth build and drag out the matches for as long as possible, if matchmaker has pre-determined I cannot have fun, I may as well troll the fun of red team by denying them a full 12 kills or a less than full length match.
- some combination/progression thereof.

if the game thinks you are winning too much, it will stick you on the pre selected losing team until things balance out. i think there is some control theory pushing players to w/l=1 which would totally explain the pendulum effect.

Honestly a lot of mechs in MWO are pretty much loser mechs. i'd say over 50% are really crappy to play these days.

Nah, seriously part of it is RNG.
When you get those teams with 4+, even 3+ Heavy / Assault LRM Boats cause, "I gots to run my big huge LRM60+ and nothing else Mech!" Even saw a Stalker-3FB with LRM40, nothing else. Especially with this event having Missile damage and weight class requirements.

random would be games with variety. theres none of that. the pendulum is real. its why this graph peaks instead of curves. a pretty clear sign of a bang bang control loop.

Sometimes I look at my mechs that have half the firepower of other mechs I use and I wonder why they exist.

Pretty much same, tell friends and myself to stop playing ****** troll mechs and get bit more serious.
losing streaks usually happens only if there is some good premade on opposite side multiple times in a row with meta mechs.

Well firepower itself doesn't make mech good or bad or powerful/weak. Flea with not that great firepower can mess up multiple enemies with 2-4 times firepower it has.

It's the funniest thing. Time of day and attitude seem to only be somewhat influential; otherwise, you wait a day and your luck comes back. This is one of those phenomena like Firestarters not actually having bonus leg structure or my Hunchback 4G's Ultra-AC/20 almost never jamming on HPG. I know it can't be true, and yet...

But that graph doesn't work, sorry but Jarl's is not taking into account certain details. While MWO does not have some problems as other online games, it still shares problems with them and in certain ways 12 v 12 makes it worse. I shudder at the horror that must be those games I see advertised as 100+ players in the same battle.
