- quit the game for a while
- be overly aggressive early on so I can die, quit the match, change mechs, and get away from the losers matchmaker saddled me with.
- make a forum post about how much matchmaker sucks
- ignore it
- uninstall for a while
- change mechs to a trolly stealth build and drag out the matches for as long as possible, if matchmaker has pre-determined I cannot have fun, I may as well troll the fun of red team by denying them a full 12 kills or a less than full length match.
- some combination/progression thereof.

Some of those behaviors can cause losing streaks in the first place.

~Go away to drink coffee for 5 minutes (maybe part of your 12-man QP team is a problem too)

~Try play with another mech of yours, totally different weight class, totally different play style

When I am on a losing streak, I bite into a York Peppermint Patty. I feel the cold breeze blowing through my hair......

.....as 12 million missiles land on me. Damn you Polar Highlands!

the pendulum effect strikes again.

if the game thinks you are winning too much, it will stick you on the pre selected losing team until things balance out. i think there is some control theory pushing players to w/l=1 which would totally explain the pendulum effect.

Just get on my 9x Rocket Launcher MAD4HP and make someone miserable in the first 2 minutes of the game by deleting them and dying with 1 solo kill, which is usually 25%-33% of the total kills of a bad losing game. Posted Image

I just switch to my better mechs and stop losing..

Honestly a lot of mechs in MWO are pretty much loser mechs. i'd say over 50% are really crappy to play these days.

Nah, seriously part of it is RNG.

When you get those teams with 4+, even 3+ Heavy / Assault LRM Boats cause, "I gots to run my big huge LRM60+ and nothing else Mech!" Even saw a Stalker-3FB with LRM40, nothing else. Especially with this event having Missile damage and weight class requirements.

random would be games with variety. theres none of that. the pendulum is real. its why this graph peaks instead of curves. a pretty clear sign of a bang bang control loop.

Pretty much same, tell friends and myself to stop playing ****** troll mechs and get bit more serious.
losing streaks usually happens only if there is some good premade on opposite side multiple times in a row with meta mechs.

Well firepower itself doesn't make mech good or bad or powerful/weak. Flea with not that great firepower can mess up multiple enemies with 2-4 times firepower it has.

It's the funniest thing. Time of day and attitude seem to only be somewhat influential; otherwise, you wait a day and your luck comes back. This is one of those phenomena like Firestarters not actually having bonus leg structure or my Hunchback 4G's Ultra-AC/20 almost never jamming on HPG. I know it can't be true, and yet...

But that graph doesn't work, sorry but Jarl's is not taking into account certain details. While MWO does not have some problems as other online games, it still shares problems with them and in certain ways 12 v 12 makes it worse. I shudder at the horror that must be those games I see advertised as 100+ players in the same battle.
