Picked up a Stryker pack for myself and my kid (who seems to have C-bill sized holes in his pockets the way he spends them). Most excited to take the mobile T-bolt for a spin. The C-bills and GSP made it a great value for us.

I really like the C-bill enhancing cockpit items as well. More of those please in future sales and events (maybe in a loot bag or two in a forthcoming loosely Irish themed event....just sayin').

Who asked for new variants of these two mechs with worse hardpoints than the ones already in the game?

Mediocre mechs that can only be saved by quirks, when that type of over-quirking hasn't happened in years, isn't a sign of progress. Tell me I'm wrong.

What are you expecting to save the Grand Dragon? -50% energy cooldown? +50 armor on all torso components?

Everything we know says it's going to get a missile cooldown quirk.

Literally the people who asked for these variants are who asked for them. They asked for the Grand Dragon. Some may have meant a later version, but many did ask, specifically, exactly, for this variant. And this variant has those hardpoints. Hence my previous post.

I am fully aware that they're going to need super quirks to work. I am in fact the first person to raise the issue on the first page of this thread, shortly after pointing out that this IS what the community asked for.

Should PGI have realized this was a poor variant and done a later variant? Maybe. But they're also aware of the need for super quirks to make this work. They've mentioned it on streams, and said they'll be previewing them once they come up with them.

The point is the catch-22 and the silliness of complaining about it. Instead, we should be trying to help them figure out reasonable quirks. And yeah, its gonna need like 50% missile CD for those missiles to not be totally worthless. If that's what it needs, let it have it. It'll probably also need a bunch of energy quirks.

Be that as it may, it's still something that a LOT of people are going to look at and think "oh that's racist, this game is racist" like there are some Serious Implications here. High ranking klansmen call themselves Grand Dragon, go around wearing all red...

like, not everyone comes into this game with extensive knowledge of the background and lore - this is the perfect opportunity to move away from ANY implications, and any ire it might draw.

How about: Great Dragon? just spitballing here?

Who is this klan you keep talking of.. isn't it Clan?

As I learned from google Grand Dragon is a KKK title. And totally irrelevant for the BTU and the Mechwarrior community.

In 2015 I would have shared your optimism. Not so much now. I hope PGI proves me wrong.

Never again. That´s what i said to myself after buying my last mech pack over 2 years ago. Never again will i spend money for this game.
Give the Dragon some more energy hardpoints like suggested and i will buy it.
This deal is awesome. Giving people the "early" adopter rewards after release, is a great way to bring back some trust.
Tanks alot.

I changed my mind. Seeing the weapons balance changes in the last patch was a shock.
I will not buy this pack!
I was hoping for a +1HSL for PPCs for the Dragon to run a 3xERPPC build. A small Awesome 8Q.
Besides the quirks, PPCs would have been the only viable weapon for me on this mech.
And MASC got nerfed too.
Daeron and Matt you have been doing great work in the last months. I was really hopeful for MWO to rise again.
But this patch ruined everything for me. It´s a total disaster. Cause when i see how far away these changes are from what MWO needs, what the players want, i know we will continue like in the last years. Like the last big weapons balance change, where the suggestions from the players have been completly ignored. And lets not forget the huge FP disaster.
I just can´t support MWO with money if some people at PGI continue to "know better" than the players with thousands of hours experience.
I know you play the game Daeron, maybe you can talk to Chris and maybe he will listen to you.

Excited to see the quirks for these in light of the new Cauldron patch.

In the "Early Adopter Bonuses" one of item is "Hanging Item with a 5% C-Bills boost" but when I equipped it, I don't see the 5% bonus in the C-Bills. Did I misunderstood the description?

Can anyone enlighten me? Is the 5% C-Bill bonus working?

For me, the hanging Mag-Bag shows a 5% C-Bill boost in the Mech-Icon of the MechLab.

Hi there,

I see the DRG-1G doesn't form part of today's Complete Collections sale... so...

Can you call the Dragon Complete Collection complete without the new DRG-1G???

Because its the same Complete Collection that predated the development of the Stryker pack.

And being pedantic the DRG-1G is a Grand Dragon...
