I still think they are going the wrong direction when it comes to the clan mechs quirks.

Smaller buffs if not in a set, and bigger buffs if running full set.


This would promote more variety in weapons and loadouts.

Gauss does not have a charge for the 1 ballistic? Sweet! Er lasers in the RT have WAY less heat but slower refire? Ok.

Right now most omni mechs just dont have a personality. boat 1 wep system and if you do anything else well its just Irish Guacamole..

I had reinstalled, but these changes are stupid across the board, especially the MASC changes. They ruined the item for heavier mechs. Im one of the few people who love MASC and use it all the time, and now they ruined it. They ruin everything.

PGI sucks and yeah, back to retirement.

SO GLAD I didnt buy the MASC thunderbolt, omfg. I'd be furious.

I think wanting such a system is the result of fundamental misunderstanding of what game you are dealing with.

MWO is a single spawn PvP. There is no return, there is no comeback, and an insta-death tied into an RNG event means it would just be a frustration simulator. You should not halt a player's gameplay based on RNG. I'd argue even ammo explosion is a detrimental and unfortunate mechanic that is put into the game.


Examples of where this system (RNG-based death... even saying this makes me facepalm) "could" potentially work:

1- a game like MW:LL where you still have a chance to come back in, in a new mech, and still push against the enemy and compensate your previous death

2- a tabletop game where the player's gameplay is not directly halted by an RNG event.


Like many here and yourself, we all want a fun experience in MWO. Hope we can get there in the future.

I agree it is concerning that is the direction they want to go.

From what I am reading most people are not happy that cerPPCs are no long jack of all trade weapons that can do everything

Eh, its the only type of PPC that the Clans have so naturally it needs a broader use.
