B: "That seems like an exaggeration. That's not what he said in that clip."

That's not even remotely what I said.

What I said that him having little faith in his own game, in comparison to a different game that he has been pining on for 2 to 3 years, isn't giving me faith. I have no qualms about Russ as a person, I just hate his bad decisions.

A: "No you just don't get it because you're new and you weren't there if you were there you'd see that its TOTALLY what he said in that clip also i don't care what you think and you can't disprove my complaints blah blah"

That's not what I said either.

I cited his behavior, that you do not have the experience with.

Its like if you walked into a bathroom and saw some guy crapping all over the middle of the floor, and upon pointing out that this is bad behavior and makes everyone else dislike him, he started lecturing you about how bathrooms are a place to crap so its good and also how he doesn't care what you think Posted Image

Oh the lack of self-awareness with you. Pretty sure that it's PGI that is the one crapping, and he can't be bothered despite being the janitor, and you're defending him.

See you want to play the reasonable one, as the one who points out what is bad, but you're arguing poorly, to the position you don't understand.

But by all means, do continue!

It's quite funny how you think you're the reasonable one, but resorts to fallacious arguments, as in Strawman. Reason only works to those who are willing to listen, and you aren't willing to listen.

Whatever, keep strawmanning.

Enjoy. Posted Image

To be frank, I don't see why ANYONE would be excited about MW5.

It's so underwhelming it's almost painful.

MW4 Mercs is honestly superior in story and in being Battletech, MW5 has just updated mechanics and QoL. I'd rather they remade MW4 Mercs in MW5.

Also Emotional Investment and closure for it, I'm honest enough to admit that I invested too much emotionally. Lastly mods, because MW5 can be a bit modded out of PGI's bad decisions, like MW5 Reloaded or MercTech, the 3D hud, Volumetric Scaling.

When PGI takes a meeting and a month to patch, modders can do it for themselves. Or at least they should, but PGI plain didn't do a proper Mod Tool and instead just relied on EGS Unreal Editor, so no Steam mod making -- **** the steam mod community.

it looks nice, has a good sound track, and has mod support. but thats the limit of its redeeming qualities. infinite respawn is what really kills it. i want to play the game but it seems like i spend the whole time babysitting the bad ai and objective rushing. i just want to shoot robbits! and having to watch that damn jump ship animation (which stutters on a 4ghz cpu and a rtx2070 super), over and over again. there should either be a checkbox to disable it or only show it when you jump into a story related system.

I'd have interest in mw5 if I could mod it myself or use steam work shop to dl mods but since mw5 can't do that I don't have the money to spend on it or dlc. Skyrim however lives on due to many new mods.

I bet $60 will get a lot of games come the steam summer sale.

What makes you think it won't have workshop support?

Dunno about mod installation, but since the mod tools for making and editing mods rely heavily on the Unreal Engine, those will almost certainly stay within the EGS framework where that engine is accessible.

You know Hat in Time? it's literally an Unreal-Engine game, that has it's own mod tools?

You know what else Hat In Time has? A competent developer that provides the necessary tools that allows itself to be integrated to the Steam Workshop. That is mind you a separate set of tools from the Unreal-Editor that allowed them to provide via Steam without legal issues.

What I heard the MW5 has for a mod-tool is literally just an open-project of the MW5 for the Unreal-Editor. Yeah, mod-distribution platform like Nexus ain't that hard to do with Steam, that is what likely could be done, but that's just about it. Mod incompatibility or you want to make your own mods? This ain't Bethesda, no xEdit for you.

Because **** the Steam Community if they ever want to make their own mods. Epic should be crushing Steam with all of them 9-year-old fortnite monies.

Yeah, the tools is one thing, and a major gripe for our friend The6thMessenger, but apart from that, I see no indication why mods should not be accessible via the Workshop infrastructure.

Dude, he was there.

Also Workshop Support =/= Mod Tools, it is simply the distribution platform.

That being said, MW5 IIRC was originally pitched in with full modding support at Steam Workshop, only PGI idiotically released the entire project with Unreal Editor with all of the strings attached.

Another thing that keeps me away is a lot of epic exclusive games on steam are still running epic servers in the back ground now, customers are finding all sorts of malware like behavior in some.. I literally am really careful now if its been on epic i wait awhile to see what gamers find before i buy..

I'd link some steam forums but i'm not sure i can.

Look up
Newly released Zombie Army 4(STEAM)'s executables send analytical data to Rebellion, Denuvo and........Epic Games.
