1250 is too low a resource amount needed for a win in faction warfare - conquest mode. Many times mechs go unused before resources are collected. Also, many times if a team goes full lights they will outcap early on and enemy will not have enough time to turn it around.

Increase resource's necessary for win to at least 1500, maybe even 1750. Right now, the game is over too fast and almost feels like quickplay..

This has been brought up many times on these forums. FP could really use some quick fixes like this. Here's a simplified summary from Yondu's Faction Play Proposal:
  • Equalize the tonnage between Clans and IS (either 260 or 265) -- super easy and should have been done a long time ago.
  • Fix the FP Leaderboards (how hard can this be it was working before)
  • Bring back planetary conquest and corresponding MC rewards (never should have been removed)
  • Make Siege attack/defense random or better yet (my suggestion) give the lower PSR team the defense
  • Make Siege at lease one of the modes in every phase (its a big part of what makes FP unique)
  • Bring back Scouting
  • Fix tickets in Conquest (test at 1750, revise from there)
Not super hard stuff we're asking for and many of these items should be able to be done in a day.

anything below 2000 will hardly be enough to alow you to use 4 mechs

2000 is minimum acceptable

same problem is in siege: 30 mins are too short for boreal and hellebore springs

Baby steps DATA.. baby steps. We don't want to go overboard with the resource points because it might turn conquest into another quick-play mode where you almost ignore the points. It's nice having a mode where killing isn't the only objective so let's not ruin it.

The time limit on Boreal is fine... the problem is most people take snipe (attack or defend) for whatever reason I still can't figure out yet.. and snipe drags the game out because kills are slow to come. Whenever I drop on boreal i call gate stack brawl on defend, and pokey push with ecm on attack.

Hellebore? Never thought time was short there..

More than 30minute game time and i expect you'll see a drop in cw activity..

Exactly, this is pretty much the only part in the game where objectives actually matter. So adjust points, sure, but a small step,

I agree about increasing it to 1750, or maybe 2000.

The other problem with conquest is that it favors clans, primarily because of linebackers but also because of blood asps, etc.

I don't think there's a tech imbalance overall when it comes to combat, but clan heavies & assaults obviously have a speed advantage over IS.

Just aim legs on linebackers.. legged linebacker is as good as dead due to their usually short-range builds..

The mistake players usually make is not bringing enough lights in a cw conquest drop.. personally I bring 3.

Boreal gates/gens should be reworked to put it more inline with the other Siege maps. I would go as far as making the gates themselves destructible while making the Gens work for the defenders, ie ability to open/close gates until/unless they are destroyed too.

But, I hear ya, baby steps... :)

thats about as far as it should go, past that point and conquest turns to skirmish again. think id prefer a smidge less though, around 1800. you get about 450 cap/mech, just get aggressive when the time is running out for each mech.
