Soo...I am looking at their post on a couple of sites, and I couldn't help but notice under the New Weapons, they list Short Burst Lasers, and Stream? SRM's. I played Battletech for a long time, and I don't recall either of those weapons. And searching for them on Sarna turned up nothing. Did they typo Streak SRM? And short burst lasers, aren't those Pulse Lasers? lol
While some mentions list Stream SRMs, others do not so not sure if they are definite.
Odd they add Chem Lasers since they were discontinued in history before setting and only brought back by a Clan but whatever.
Do not know about Short Burst Lasers.
I want to really see Mech Rifles.

Hello,
I have a question about MW5 and it's relation to MWO. I've been playing MW for a very long time off and on and mostly when it was still a disc game on PC years ago. Is MW5 the same as MWO or are the separate games? Is MW5 already out and the DLC is being added on May 27th? Sorry for the ignorance, just out of touch with the game a bit but still one of my favorite games ever.
In some ways they are similar but others not.
Weapons have slight differences in stats, some weapons are unique to each game due to different time periods for settings.
Some of the equipment also works differently, ECM is not a Stealth device in MW5 for example and PPCs seem to have an effect on the firing unit's HUD, not sure about target.
You cannot change engine for different sizes from what I saw in videos and hardpoints are even more limited, some Mechs like JagerMech-S have less than they do in MWO plus some hardpoints are for only certain sizes of weapons. In MWO you can put all Medium Lasers in every Energy slot on a Firestarter but not so in MW5. End result less customization.
No skill tree in MW5.
MW5 is out but getting a discounted price on the 27th when the DLC comes out, right now MW5 would cost you about $50 but on the 27th you can get base game and DLC for same $50.
