Cheating

I spectated someone yesterday playing the Nova Cat NCT-B with jump jets. Like, I guess I have to step up my game, too, because I first though to myself "Cool! I didn't know Nova Cats could have jump jets!"
So I log in just now and check my own NCT-B... nope!
The cheating is getting really brazen. PGI, please do something! I shouldn't have to constantly record every match and every person I spectate to catch the obvious cheaters!

oh, and if you had done your research yourself instead of another "cheat-thread" ..
since you're in the game since 2019 or so, you wouldn't have ......... eh...... "done that"

Nova Cat is an Omni-mech with changable pods. While the B variant doesn't have JJ's the A variant does have side torsos with 2 JJ's each that you can also put on the B variant (but you lose the energy points).

Its just the way omnimechs where implemented. While they can not generaly mount jumpjets there are also some variant pods that come installed with fixed jumpjets...so yea...version "A" sidetorsoes have 2 JJ each in them.
If you do not wish to refer to external sites you can check that in the shop or mechlab by switching through the available modules.

There we go. I knew I was missing something.

The NCT is one of the few Omnis I've never done anything to, and I've had it so long and played it the same for so long that I never thought to change out the pods because I forgot it's an omni....oops.

Same for Arctic Wolves..
Can someone explain to me why Arctic wolves have 3 omnipod and 3 standard versions.. I noticed this the other night and i think it might be the only MWO mech i've seen like this..

Arctic Wolf was the prototype for Clan OmniMechs, the Grand Daddy if you will.
Some variants were literally built and christened before OmniMech era, and some variants were OmniMech prototype, hence the funny and unique situation you see here. With JumpJet equipment implications also!

Maybe it would be a better idea to go at the issue in another way next time:
