Hi all,

I’ve only play few games but I love the grand dragon it has perfect hard point location for a hill humping sniper. The lt/rt energy hard points are brilliant, I tried a dual heavy ppc and dual SRM 4 build and racked up 400 damage with no skills or consumables. I love it. Tanky and quick firing but need cooling on it. I think this is a great mech, thanks for puttin it in the game the grand dragon was one of my favourite tabletop mech and great to see it in mwo.

I am currently running 3x snubs 2x srm 4s playing it as a brawler to decent effect, 400 damage across like 4 games. Runs quite cool thanks to the quirk age and the srms are fast firing (though its hard to get used to the different fire rate and velocities between weapons)
Going to try out heavy ppcs now, then perhaps an er ppc poker w/ its high hardpoints

would love to give it a try but don't have the cash to spend nor am i inclined to give PGI any money at this juncture. perhaps some day if it is available for MC i might pick it up. (i like the paint patterns on the existing Dragon Heroes better but i do like the Grand Dragon's hardpionts).

The paintjob on the DRG-1G(S) is a bit limited in colour variation, but it's oh so brilliant! Tried the HPPC hill-humper so far. Love it! Forgot how brilliant the mobility on the DRG is.

4 LL seems to net the mech a solid 400-500 damage per match for me (again, no arty/air strikes) but having no luck exceeding that damage output so far. Next up, playing with dual heavy peeps.

Baradul got some mileage out of it, to be sure. But personally I don’t care how many armor buffs it has, I’m not throwing an XL engine on it.

And the heavy PPC build I was playing didn’t have enough for backup weapons, so I’m on to this, and I gotta say, the MRM 10 with velocity boost is pretty sweet.

If you’re not interested in high torso hard points, sure. But everybody is interested in high torso hard points.

Dragon 1C has 2 shoulder and 2 arm energy hard points, plus ballistics on the other arm. Only 1 CT missiles though.
