[Garfuncle]

For some bizarre reason, even after a reinstall, I am running on an older version of MWO. I can still play matches and do stuff in mechlab, but things like weapon changes from the latest patch have not carried over. I cannot, for example, fire 4 IS LL without getting ghost heat. I am using Steam to launch MWO.

That works? Interesting.
so you have the increased cooldown on various weapons but not the increased damage because that’s on the other player’s files. Makes me wonder if you could get the 2013 “one jump jet spins you around really quickly” effect by editing the right file.

right before they ban you for it, of course.

If you are running sound, colour or any other mods.

Disable/Remove them. Problem will be fixed.

Hmm... I play MWO exclusively via Steam client, and patching has been OK and update.
If your Steam patching issues are not resolved, suggest you uninstall/reinstall both Steam and MWO!

It's also a good reason/excuse to upgrade your computer
We upgraded our ThinkPad for this PST/Gulag/Cauldron patch


Can use 4x Large Laser with no ghost heat, and pinpoint accuracy!
"Heavy Large Lasers" for the IS; me likes it

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\MechWarrior Online\Bin64\MWOClient.exe

~Just copy everything in this folder to your new computer:
C:\Users\X1E3\Saved Games\MechWarrior Online

ie: these Folders are especially important!

C:\Users\X1E3\Saved Games\MechWarrior Online\MechSkillTrees

.pak
.pak
.pak

And remove mods that include xml wepon files edits
