Any idea if these things will ever get some sort of pass to make them some what playable? They are pretty abysmal mechs..

I think they are the worst mechs in the game, even worse than Hellspawns or Executioners. I went and bought a pack like an idiot.

HLF-A is pretty strong, dunno where this sentiment is coming from. To say they're worse than executioners or hellspawns is honestly laughable.

Grimmechs has two flavours of laservomit for the HLF-1, A brawl build for the HLF-A (which I use), and a gaussvomit build for the hero, which the site puts at A-tier for both general and specialist use.

Yes the hero is some what passable but they all fall apart faster than a Volvo.

I find it kinda funny you guys would rather disagree with me over fixing an abysmal mech set.. Even on their best days they are mediocre.

If you're dying quick in a hellfire you're playing it wrong. While it lacks armour quirks, it's very agile under MASC, meaning you can quickly engage/disengage and twist off damage pretty well.

What builds are you running, and how are you playing it? For sure it's not on the level of the Linebacker, Hellbringer or EBJ, but it's by no means "mediocre at best".

The Hellfire's are some of my favourite mechs to take out and play, I find that they are reliable and consistent in giving me a decent game unless I do something completely stupid (which I have been known to do every now and again.)

Search ‘MWO Hellfire’ on YouTube and you’ll find several videos by TTB and Baradul. Granted, some of the videos are a couple of years old but they give a good idea of what can be done with the HLF.

it's got some bad hitboxes and poor weapon placement, but i wouldn't call it one of the worst mechs in the game. at the very least it can take some solid loadouts and doesn't have horrible agility, which is more than can be said for many other mechs.

i would like to see it receive some armor quirks and possibly stronger/more varied offensive quirks, but honestly i don't think it needs an awful lot.

I did they weren't overly great, its not the builds its the mechs.. they are really poor in nearly all conditions.. I've copied nearly all the builds.. Anything focuses you you are dead as you fall apart in seconds. No twisting can save them.

Eh just write them off as a bad purchase and sell the trash.

Yes, weak mechs.
Avoid close fight, move, hide. Shoot from distance. Look for lights, going to kill you.

I kick *** in my hellfires. MASC is a fantastic mobility booster and it lets you do CRIMES with weapons that would otherwise be difficult to use.

Could it use maybe a bit of a durability pass? Sure.

Worst mech in the game? Lol no git gud.

2 Heavy larges, 4 heavy mediums + masc is a terrifying combo.

The VOID can do double gauss, which is scary in a mech that can do over 100 with masc.

You can ATM or LRM them.

These are far from trash.

He is SLOW in turning, so cant fight lights. Dragon, Champion etc running around hellfire like wind and tear him apart. So you only can fight from back with a good team and long range. Weak mech.

You do know MASC makes you turn faster right?

It has lower base maneuverability and MASC, which makes it accelerate faster, decelerate faster, reverse faster, turn faster, etc.

Hellfires are decent, the only thing 'wrong' with them is not much difference in hardpoints to justify variants.
I bought 1 for CB and see no reason to get a different one.

Quirks would be about the only reason.

The Hellfire's main issue is that it's got some of the worse ST hitboxes, probably top five status, but if you can work around that, it's a really strong 60ton mech.

Regardless of your own opinion on the Hellfire in it's current state - Selling it now would be incredibly daft given that the cauldron's mobility and quirk passes are inbound.

Well since some of the cauldron answered here and seem to think they are good (haha yeah) they most likely will not get what they need.

Looking at the predictions its up for changes but imo speed and movement aren't its issues.. its its strength
