Cauldron plz gib final mobility stats for May patch!
Need to do theorycrafting!

They have locked the public file:
https://docs.google....#gid=1964566595
And Kras said they would make final stats public either late this week or early next week.

EDIT:
New Mobility stats have been released and can be found here:

https://www.mwocomp.com/patches.html

Patience bois... It's coming as Kras said Posted Image

To tantilise a little more... Think of it like this...

The base values are pretty similar to pre-desync. It is a little tweaked as engine size isn't tied to mobilty anymore - it will be a solid and a lot of mechs that are dumptrucks, lights to assaults, will be great again and that alone will improve many chassis that are outright junk right now.

Please make the mechs not feel like they are moving in molasses.

I really hope the mobility improvements don't just focus on the mechs with bad mobility. The Gargoyle for example currently only really has its mobility going for it. Mechs like the Fafnir should become more agile, but if they narrow the gap too much it will remove another reason for the few mechs that have speced heavily into mobility. Same with light and medium mechs; they should get improved accel/decel/turn rate even if they are already relatively good at it.

The mechs will poor mobility should be made good, and the mechs that have good mobility should have their mobility made great.

Bummer. Looks like my example regarding the Gargoyle came true; its accel, decel, and turning rate are all unchanged (technically rounded to next whole number), so its ability to peek is untouched. This is pretty bad for a mech that was far from being overpowered and relied heavily on being able to outmaneuver enemy heavy and assault mechs.

At least mechs like the Cicada weren't ignored. I'm also seeing a few other things that seem odd, but I'll have to take some time to go through everything more carefully before I can really comment on this further. Hopefully the Cauldron will include some explanation for their decisions. I'm sure that this patch will certainly be a net-positive and greatly improve some poorly performing mechs, however from what I've read so far, it looks like it won't be the same kind of home-run as the last patch.

It looks like heavier mechs are increasing a fair amount. That torso twist speed on the Atlas is going to make things very interesting.

I was hoping to see more on the Marauder II, but any amount will help.

I was hoping that mechs that relied heavily on maneuverability would still retain an advantage in that area. At least the Cicada and Viper did receive substantial buffs, however for some reason the Gargoyle was completely ignored. It wasn't a relatively OP mech like the Vulcan, so I don't get why it needed to be nerfed relative to other assaults and heavies. It was an assault that played like a medium, and now that will certainly not be the case.

I also don't agree with the decision to make the Flea variants that can equip masc have worse accel than the ones that cannot equip masc. These aren't omni mechs where masc is locked in, you should be able to choose not to take masc and still have your full accel rate.

These changes are overall still very positive and will breath life into a lot of poorly performing mechs. There is some room for additional tweaking however.

I mainly had a look on the assault at the moment and I have noticed that there is an overall increase or buff to acceleration. However there is something i don't understand, the already agile mech received little to nothing increase while other slower mech received major increased.

How i see it it's a nerf to the already agile mech, because there is an overall increase accross the board except for these ones. For example Zeus and Cyclops received basically nothing while Mad cat II and Marauder IIC received a good one and i believe they are already pretty better mech and not underperforming at all, while Zeus is clearly is in my opinion. I don't remember the last time i saw a Zeus.

I don't understand the logic.
it's like you try to make everything similar to each other while they should be different, that's the purpose of having different mech.
In overall the changes are welcome especially for the really slow one as Atlas and kodiak it's just that i disagree to not buff the already agile mech and buff the already good performing mech.

While I had my initial doubts about how the patches will turn out (no thanks to the countless bitter experience from the past),
it would appear MWO is finally in capable hands. Many thanks for the work invested, I really appreciate it!
