Hello community

I just discovered this game, and I loved the old Mechwarrior games. Mechwarrior 2 beeing my favoruite.
After reading myself up on this game and watching some videos it really looks promising, and I might go for a legendary foundership package.

But, there will only be North American servers ?, Im a bit consered about the LAG I will experience from playing from Skandinavia. Since its a FPS game, in essential, much more than >50 ping is unacceptable.

When I play Battlefield 3, I seldom see NON EU servers with less than 50 ping, so I wonder if anyone have any thoughts, any EU players have information based on ping from closed beta perhaps, on how this will affect me.

I really want to play this, but I would want a fair playing ground with acceptable ping.

Well we aren't allowed to say much, but let's just say that there are people all over the world who are in the beta right now and having a great time. Also, the Devs have all but promised us European servers in the future, and they will do their best to support account transfers if they do decide to split up the player base in that way.

Hello!

Don't worry too much. From the videos, you might have seen that MWO is not going to be as fast as a "real" first person shooter like BF. So the ping is not as crucial and values of less than 200 should be ok for playing.

Second, the developers have stated that there will be european servers after the game went live. And european players will have the opportunity to copy their accounts over to those servers.

Technically, they have only stated they will try to get European servers and a launch deal in Europe... but really, it should be a near enough sure thing. Devs have been pretty explicit that 'if we do set up servers and you want to transfer, you get a one time deal to move everything you own over to it' (near enough direct quote, can't recall where exactly).
