Guess I need to upgrade my Drop Decks in order to join Faction Play. Just can't seem to figure out how to proceed. Any guidance is much appreciated.

Okay, that's just has alotta mech suggestions, rather than actually discussing how to build a dropdeck. the fourth tab has some decent info, though I do disagree with some of the map tactics, but all in all, good advice.

My suggestion would be to build your drop decks with your most comfortable best mechs. One set of four ranged mechs (The last light may be brawly, if'n you're fine with that, but basically think what four mechs you'd want on alpine peaks.) Then do the second set brawl. (Imagine you're prepping for HPG. Bring your best assuming you hafta get close.)

Then, dependant on which map you get, you pick the dropdeck pre built for the expected range. Once you're used to the mode you can make changes on the fly to your drop deck to better tweak it during the minute afore the match starts, but for now, just make the two dropdecks to cover the two most likely ranges.

Have fun out there!

You must have 8 mechs. Fully skilled and loadouts sorted.

1 deck long range and one deck midrange.

Then you are set. Brawling is OK, however it is very situational and dependant on what your team is doing so less versatile of the 3 options.
And then I say long range I don't mean LRMs.

You can have one brawler mech as a 9th and swap it at the Drop selection screen as well.
