I just launched MW5 with Heroes of the Inner Sphere, however when i load my games all the Mechs in Cold Storage are gone.

I had a bunch in there maybe too many for the new game ??

I tried to create a new save, then relaunch the game , but no luck. Id appreciate a fix before i dive into the campaign.

i had this, i thought it may have been something to do with mods though. in fact my game wouldn't even start until i manually deleted my mod folders (removing them from the egs launcher didnt work). i was able to import some assault mechs and a lot of cbills though.

that said i tried to start a new career from scratch, and it sucked. the early game grind is way too high.

I have vanilla base game on Epic. Been playing again recently in anticipation of the new DLC. It updated to latest build today. I loaded one of my latest saved games and 45 mechs in my cold storage are gone too.
Just before came out a UI notice about running some script to fix invalid/obsolete mech loadouts, affecting only my AS7-RS. I looked it stripped the LRM15-ST from it, i put it back in no issues.
I'll wait until this is fixed before buying the DLC. Told the rest of my mechwarrior buddies.

Might have to do with mods, HBS game was like this except they would warn you every patch to removes mods and copy savegames to avoid problems.

Same here, cold storage was completely gone after latest patch

Hi,

just wanted to join into the empty cold storage clan....
Cold Storage was not full on my savegame, also savegames were never altered through
external programs.
Just had the drop ship mod, weapon speeds and hud mod.
Would be great if a fix for that would appear. I miss my marauders alot..

THIS IS NOT A MOD ISSUE. I have never installed a single mod. I play on gamepass. All missile weapons were removed on atlas's. Annoying but not a big deal. But my cold storage with about 30 mechs is just gone. They need to fix this asap.

Same for me - all my mechs in cold storage are gone... travelled the galaxy for YEARS (25 000 days), getting all hero and rare mechs. Never installed a mod either.

Yup, cold storage gone for me as well. Even reinstalled the game.

i was going to do this and copy my saves but the launcher decided to update the game first. derp.

i also made a save before installing mods and tried to import from that save. i had no problem losing progress after that save, but it didnt seem to work. i think if you install mods you will corrupt all saves in that save slot.

is cold storage gone for anyone who did not install mods?

No mods installed on my end (ever), yet my cold storage mechs are gone as well.

I was thinking cold storage was just a euphemism; I didn't realize it meant they were strapped to the outside of the dropship

Today Build 283 will be deployed to EGS containing the DLC unlocking fix
Tomorrow: Build 284 to EGS containing the Skins/Cold Storage fixes

there was a ghost fix today and it restored some of my cold storage mechs. im not sure if its all of them though.

unfortunately i had to start a new career mode save and re-import in order to take advantage. but losing a few hours progress was worth getting my cold storage back.

Can confirm: it appears the hotfix worked for me! I can't remember all the mechs I had in cold storage, but if not all then pretty much most of them are back (or at least the ones I care about). As an aside, the mech database is also filled in more than it was in my save. Not sure if it was related to cold storage, but it's nice to see my pokedex showing a more accurate account of my encounters.

Still no fix on game pass. All cold storage mechs gone. I've been waiting for a fix before I continue playing.

the fix does not work retroactively. you have to load or import a from save before the cold storage was lost. if you started a new career off of a save before the fix, and lost your cold storage, you cant get it back in that save. but the patch was rolled out pretty quick so you will lose at most a day's progress.
