I've been gone for about 2 years. I left around the time we got the Sun Spider and the Roughneck. Now there is a Nova champion mech sitting in my alts.garage Did we get a freebie during the last two years, I honestly don't know what it's doing there or? I had a Nova on my main long ago but never warmed to it so I can't imagine why I bought it for MC if that's what I did.

The Nova with 12 small pulse lasers is a really fun brawly mech to play right now

Can't sell (S).

They were injected for some reason 2018. I got one as soon as I made the account. Okay omni for new players, can do a lot of builds with them.

If nothing else, use it for AMS event goals.

The Nova can still be useful, mostly with energy loadouts. And it is a Champion 'Mech, so it is easier to skill.

The Nova Champion you've mentioned is quite useful now:

~New 20-April-2021 (PST/Gulag/Cauldron) patch made Clan ER-Medium-Laser much cooler, gives off much less heat!
~Your mech has many AMS nodes should you wish to equip them all. Assaults will love to have you around...

I took it out for a spin. It's better than I thought. Now I also see a Commando 2D, i gather it was a gift too? I'm trying to keep a K/D at 1.0 on my main and there is no way I'll manage it with this one even though I did it with the Lynx. What's it even good for besides providing ECM (but I can do that in a Raven 3L)? It has almost no armament.

Commando 2D is one of the most annoying light mechs in the game. 3xSRM4 and stealth armour with a fast engine is stupidly annoying to play against, especially since commandos have really compact hitboxes and spreads/avoids damage really well.

When looking closer I notice 12 free SP, where they a gift along with the mech? I take it back, I've now leveled it and ended up with a K/D at 3 on my alt. so it's not useless. Then again I played opportunistic and got lucky. I doubt It would be doable again. I'm not good with lights.

Most of the population can't hit a msx speed commando thats not moving in a straight line, and even good players get annoyef with how much damage it seems to he able to soak, so Im willing to bet you can continue to get decent results with the commando

I also have a Summoner F on my alt. I don't have one on Catra which is strange because I always do the events on both. Did we ever get a Summoner? If so it's from around Christmas 2017 or maybe early 2018.

There was a loyalty summoner one of the years, might've been 2017

It's a Summoner among thousands, so I must have bought it and it's not a reward from some event.

several Events rewarded you with a choice of mech, maybe you chose different rewards on the sveral accounts? I remember the Summoner F being a possible reward from the stocking stuffer 2017, I believe.

there are so many opportunity's for free stuff in this game , including MC, there really isn't anything a free player cant obtain with a little effort.

we should all remember this when PGI does something we don't like.
