I'm a veteran of the old faction play system (have multiple ranks in one faction without really going full loyalty on that faction (just mercing into picking that faction every time back in the day). Didn't play much for a long while and just coming back into the game, but have no clue what's happening with current faction system.

What does a merc do now and how can I take on contracts for a specific faction in this X faction vs Y faction scenario?

What does pledging loyalty do? Do I have to break loyalty if I want to gain LP for other factions and I lose LP for the current faction (e.g. play clans sometimes)?

Give me the entire tl;dr on how to gain LP and how to get games in this mode while swapping between factions, my understanding from googling is that you can swap factions all the time and just gain LP everywhere without losing it? So you pledge loyalty, dip, pledge loyalty, dip, etc? Or am I missing something?

How does scouting work? Never really played it previously besides knowing it's 4v4.

Do people pub in faction play or is it mostly just 8+ stacks going against 8+ stacks?

Off topic but how often do solaris games go up? It's a HUGE shame if there are literally none ever with the amount of new maps and etc. What's EST wait time at any point of the day (like can I get a match per 5 min?)

There is no penalty anymore so. Feel free to change side as required. If u want to rly stay loyal to a faction there is now a hero of x system, where u get rewards after lvl 20 (still not worth it).

Solaris is dead. Matches only kick of if some of the "regulars" meet each other. And then it is often 2 ac2 annis starring each other.

I see, so might as well just spam matches and grind different factions from time to time. Seems like there is no reason not to be loyal then unless grinding merc loyalty, which means you just spam matches on specific factions until they're X level and then you just spam matches on another faction. Thanks.

RIP Solaris btw.. maybe need to create in houses or something similar, though I'm not really in the mindset to kick something like that off. I guess the only way PGI can bring ppl into that game mode is to create a full deathmatch mode on those maps.

There's no more Scouting in FP (at least, for now).
So do not buy any Scouting Drop Deck(s).

As before, you can see your FP Loyalty progress bars, and the award list for achieving FP Loyalty levels!
