I got a new computer and bought some external speakers with a jack for earphones. Currently they work great but the VOIP for some reason still comes out of the speakers when I have earphones in. It makes talking with friends on discord while I play impossible. Is there a setting to fix this? A friend mentioned he had this happen before but he couldn't remember how it was resolved

Changing the Playback Mode and Playback Device does nothing?

I will check the mode, but the device is the speakers and the earphone plugs into said speakers. for some reason it is transferring everything to the earphones but the VOIP

Sounds like an issue with the speakers relaying sound data towards the earphones and the way VoIP is implemented in MWO. Since MWO is using TS, did you try TS standalone?

Hello there, Shaitan Kerensky, and sorry that I'm stupidly late to this thread... I have but one question to start with, and the rest of my thoughts have no bearing without answering this... Are there special drivers and/or other control software beyond what is built into Windows which happens to command your speakers and/or earphones on how to function?

As far as I know, there is no additional controlling software. I plug the speakers into the earphone jack on the pc and the earphones into the earphone jack on the speakers

Setting it to something other than default and then back might help. I've been told either windows or MWO can sometimes lose track of which device was supposed to be used.
