First post on the forums, so hello fellow Mechwarriors

Regarding the current event with the loot bags, are we required to hold onto the loot bags in order to tally up the totals for prizes at the end or can we open them?

I have the 150 total available from Phase 1, and I require 200 for the free Atlas. If I open loot bags do they subtract from my total?

Sorta n00b question I know but first loot bag event for me.

1. Yes, you can open Loot Bags at any time, there's a progress bar towards your Atlas AS7-D mech for Loot Bags earned (loot bag redemption does not factor into this progress bar).

And please be aware that there are TWO (2) tabs for Phase 1 + Phase 2 for loot bag redemption.

Also as a tip mate.

Do not open them at the END of your play session.

As there is stuff like Premium Time etc, open a bunch of them before you play and over a week or two you can get some added Premium Time bonuses if you stop each time you unlock a day of it, if that makes sense?

This! Yeah, definitely save opening the loot bags when you know you have a good chunk of time ingame earning the extra premium time at the end of each game. There's no mechanic to say, ok start my 1 day of premium time at 7 am Saturday morning. It's applied to your account and the timer starts when you open it (or maybe when you refresh the game? not sure). I always get the injection of items after either firing up the game, or between matches, or coming out of Testing Grounds.

Either way, wait till you know you will be playing a lot to open the loot bags to get the most pay for your premium time buck.

Yeah, my general tactic is to open them until I find premium time and then stop. When that premium time runs out, I open a few more, etc. I just have to remember when the last day to redeem is and open any leftovers the day before that.
