i don't know i rarely get off a single double tap without them jamming on mechs without the jam chance quirk. then again that could just be my horrible luck with RNG. at best i might get 2 bursts off.

1) If you want a faster Assault (60-65kph-ish as base speed) with larger UAC and with less UAC jamming:
(Less UAC jamming = that rare -xx% UAC jam chance, or rely on 4+ UAC ballistic hardpoints):
(Below quoted speeds are unskilled base speeds):
Mad Cat MK II, MCII-B: max speed 72kph with max 400 engine, and with "no" UAC Jam Chance reduction.
Infamous for 2x UAC10 + 2x UAC5 only, gets 63kph with XL350 engine.
Alternative: 2x UAC10 + 2x UAC5 +backup laser + extra ammo, gets 58.5kph with XL325 engine.
~Total four (4) ballistic hardpoints in both arms. Famous meta build, with speed!
Mad Cat MK II, MCII-DS: max speed 72kph with max 400 engine, and with -20% UAC Jam Chance, Hero mech.
Typical: 2x UAC10 +backup lasers, gets 63kph with XL350 engine.
Also seen: only 2x UAC20 and no backup armaments, 70kph with XL375 engine.
~Total two (2) ballistic hardpoints in both arms.
Mauler, MAL-2P: max speed 58.5kph with max 325 engine, and with -20% UAC Jam Chance.
Realistically with 2x UAC10, or 2x UAC20, +backup lasers, gets 54kph base speed with 300 LE engine.
~Total two (2) ballistic hardpoints in LT/RT.
Cyclops CP-S: max speed 72kph with max 400 engine, and with "no" UAC Jam Chance reduction, Hero mech.
Realistically with 2x UAC20 (2 ballistic weapons), +backup lasers, gets 58.5kph LE325 engine.
Slow: with 2x UAC10 and 2x UAC5 (4 ballistic weapons), gets 46.8kph Standard 260 engine.
~Total four (4) ballistic hardpoints in LT/RT.
Kodiak, KDK-3: max speed 64.8kph with max 400 engine, and with "no" UAC Jam Chance reduction.
Realistically 2x UAC10 + 2x UAC5 +backup laser. Goes at 61.5kph with LE375 engine, Fast Kodiak (surprise!). Terrible hitboxes for LT/RT though.
~Total four (4) ballistic hardpoints in LT/RT.
Atlas Boar's Head, AS7-BH: max speed 64.8kph with max 400 engine, and with "no" UAC Jam Chance reduction, Hero mech. This is one durable mech.
Only one ballistic RT hardpoint: 1x UAC20 + 6x laser. Gets 60.7kph with LE375 engine, Fast Atlas (surprise!).
2) Personal comments:
~If you wish "lots of UAC" and fast Assault, for IS you need 85ton to 100ton for larger engine (probably 90ton+).
~If you wish "lots of UAC" Clan Assault, you actually get lots of choices, as Clan weapons are lighter but fires "hotter", and Clan mechs typicall faster, albeit a bit more fragile.
3) Did you know you can try out a mech layouts for free?
Goto [Store], swap weapons/engine in [View_In_MechLab], and even test out the tech [Enter_Testing_Grounds], all for free!
Do have FUN choosing your mech!

I might try something similar.
Oh on a side note. Are the IS UAC's worth the tonnage to run now? I remember there rate of fire to jam rate use to be really bad. The only viable option was chaining 3-4x UAC 5's or 3-4x UAC 2's to avoid jamming.

I would recommend a Charger:
https://mech.nav-alp...6d161b0_CGR-1A1
It have decent speed and agility for assault, some armor quirks to sustain huge profile and easy-to-use mid-range loadout.
