Well boys ... we had a good run. It was fun killing you in my arctic wolves. It sucks they are getting buffed just in time for Solaris to be killed.
Maybe we will see a return to it later but it seems this mode is being put on the furthest of back burners.
Someone else will have to entertain the obsidian cats that we've all come to love and laugh at.

Thought of you when I saw those ACW buffs. Never did get to beat you in that thing, but we had some good bouts.


It was fun playing all of you, especially those who would queue up over and over in the same div so we could play long, epic series full of mech switches and map-ban mindgames.


Well, maybe not all of you. I had the privilege of being forced into a tie by an obsidian cat on my very last match, denying me a chance to move up the leaderboard. Won't be missing that.

I was actually googling how to find Solaris modes because of the Steam achievements before learning from this thread that they're no longer around.. Makes me sad, to be honest, that I never got to try out that game mode. 1v1 or 2v2 seems like it could've been a lot of fun.

It lost all players with the exception of few people farming each other to get rewards. So obviously it was not such great fun..

You still can play Solaris maps 1v1 or 2v2 in Private Lobby.
There's also Solaris Event Queue sometimes, which is basically old Solaris gamemode, just without ELO system.
