May I humbly suggest that the payout for faction play be increased substantially. Seems like a long investment of time, time that I certainly enjoy, to result in a pitiful reward.

Trust that you are aware there are lots of rewards for grinding for Faction Play's Reputation tiers, right?
[Faction_Play]>>[Faction_Reputation]

As an entree, a taste of the goodies available, you can grind for 14 free mechbays just by reaching Tier 2 Reputation for each House/Clan! And there are lots of other goodies for free, but would take a substantial investment of time. But it's good rewards!

I did consider this, and I am working towards tier 2 for each faction. I feel though, in comparison to QP, even with the rep rewards I'm better off simply playing QP if my focus is solely on C-Bills per time spent.

Another way I look at it is, losing a QP match yields a pitiful amount of C-Bills, but that only cost me 10 minutes if I live to the end. Losing a FP match, yields about a QP's win worth of C-Bills, but takes around 30 minutes.

Obviously the duration is based on how long I live in either case, and therefore can leave the match rather than wait until the end.

Also, perhaps the wait time to get into FP is skewing my opinion here some as well. I'm will to guess that most people don't play FP because it doesn't feel rewarding considering the amount of time it takes to que, load the map and begin playing.

I recommend making the C-Bill pay out substantial and see what happens. The player base isn't exactly growing much at this point. The balancing is giving it a breathe a fresh air, so why not poke at this game mode as well? The longer I'm between games, the less I want to play. I want in the action, and to remain in it until I can't play anymore.

Yes, in QP you get a fistful of CBills, regardless of win/loss.

In FP, all four mechs in your dropdeck gets a fistful of XP mech experience points at the same time!
In FP, if you are on the winning side, you also get a fistful of CBills also!

That's exactly I've stuck with QP, after I've grinded for my 14 free FP mechbays!

Different players have different priorities and enjoy MWO differently, ymmv :)
