Apologies if this isn't the right place, I've stared at the forum categories for the last SOLID five minutes and literally nothing seems to fit specifically for MWO and features.

I'm trying to find a solid answer on if snub-nosed PPCs still have a splash damage effect. A friend of mine keeps saying 'check the patch notes' and I've gone back through patch notes from October 2023 looking for the terms 'splash' 'snub' and 'ppc' but I've found nothing so far about the splash effect being removed.

Anyone else that's looked- are you able to provide some clarification?

The real question is "How much splash", because tool tips are apparently too LeHard to update with patches.

Yep the splash damage in snubs was present throughout 2022. The change I'm being told happened either mid or late 2023 into 2024. That's what's throwing me off because I'm finding nothing about that lol. I'm pretty sure it wasn't removed

Edit: finally had a chance to check in training mode. Splash definitely there.

Snubs have not changed since dropping HSL to 2 and upping damage to 2.5+10+2.5, other than a max range reduction to 2x from 2.5x iirc. That's it.
