I want to be the first to say thank you for all the extra goodies thrown it with this event!
Also, good choice of the Marik pattern, I really like the gold highlights.

Heh... This particular Event is going to have some fun chaos happening, inclusive of the hammering effects of war which may occur... Marik-related pun intended. :P

If there is any chance that Matt/Daeron want a good Event Title for this, then "Hammer Of Chaos" is my suggestion for their usage. :D

I'll see you all there, as soon as it becomes possible for me to deploy again. B)

Always wondered if I should buy a 5th one of the 6R.
I guess so.
And unlocking a pattern for them is always nice.

Just to feedback on behalf of new players: 40,000 match score is a little over the top, even factoring in the 30 days to achieve this:
@200 match score/game = 200 games (7 games a day, for 30 days straight)
@100 match score/game = 400 games (14 games a day, for 30 days straight)
@50 match score/game: forget it (but I was in this situation 15 months ago).

For future consideration, dare I suggest that this 40,000 match score requirement may backfire; new players may well elect to give up trying to achieve this for just a Camo Pattern. Which leaves a bitter aftertaste in the new players' mouth.

Which is just the exact opposite of what these Events were supposed to achieve.

Addendum: Now that MWO Comp teams are actively practicing together in QP, the tempo of QP has picked up considerably, making it even harder for new players to achieve their usual match score performance.

Me - "Ok, challenge acepted - use owned WHM-6R to get new one"

P.S. Anyway thanks - It's cool event, I know there are a lot of newcomers who can use it :)

I'm also smelling a hidden "42" reference here, but I don't get why. :mellow:

Nice to see an event. Especially one with the 40k reference to what happened on reddit. You might have been a tad late though as the internet moves fast. Might have missed a chance to get some of those 40k players in here.

Nice event and good prizes.

The 40,000 matchscore is excessive though. For newer players, it isn't unusual to average around 200 matchscore per game. This would mean that it would take around 200 matches to win that objective. And for people who only play on weekends, that would mean that they'd need to play 20 to 25 games per day.

You want challenges to be challenging, but not so much so that it causes more casual players to give up without even attempting it. Most of the people on the forums are unlikely to be casual, but we do need those people as well to keep player numbers up.

You have a MONTH to grind for a PATTERN for the mech, if you want. The main prize, the mech itself, is fairly easy to obtain. I guess PGI thinks that grinding might keep people playing the game. Posted Image
