Someone from PGI dabbed into rescale conversation within month or two ago and said that those are not problem really if I remember correctly.
Personally I would like to play some mechs again with new bit smaller size and wouldn't give a **** if I have some katana strapped to my back or not.

Yeah I probably have less than 5 bolt ons on all of my mechs, don't really see point of those, can't even see them myself.

those would probibly need to be retrofit, but its a lot less work than re-doing everything.

I see where you come from because I am rather indifferent when it comes to having bolt-ons
