Used MechDB and the (S) version of the mechs use the same geometry as the Phoenix mechs. Just no Phoenix skin available

Everyone... I may be crazy, but I think that I have a solution which people should find suitable.

Instead of trying to Re-Release the original "Project Phoenix" MechPack for people to straight-up purchase, there should instead be a MechPack called something like "The Phoenix Reborn" (Yes, I am taking a cue off of whoever it was that started the whole "Project Reborn" thing with MWO here!!!) that changes things just a little bit. For example...

• Take all the "(P)" designators on this second edition and change them to "(P2)" designations, but make them still a Qualifier for the "Phoenix Down" Achievement for the rest of the players out there. Frankly, it ain't really a so-called "Phoenix Mech" unless that effect happens to be attached, and these people are apparently paying to make targets of themselves.
  
• The unusual bit of Camo that those kind of Variants get? Keep that as it is, because there is no need to change it at all. After all, we're looking at trying to attract purchases. The attention draw of being able to get that exact Camo is what will likely be the primary factor which draws the purchases which PGI will desire to even consider making this a viable thing to do.
  
• That odd little Faction Warfare Loyalty Bonus which came on the original ones? Leave it out. This is obviously what gave the original "Project Phoenix" MechPack its' primary special exclusivity thing. Only trouble can ensue if anyone tries to release a second edition of these Mechs with that Bonus attached.

...and with that, we would eventually see a new flurry of people getting blasted out on the battlefields. Likely, others would be earning their "Phoenix Down" Achievements to enjoy.

So, what do you all think? Good idea? Bad idea? Why?

Just curious, how do you get that Davion Loyalty Medallion (+5% Loyalty Bonus cockpit hanging item?)?

As far as I know, no Clan packs were ever made offering the same LP bonus, so while I can see that the original (P) mechs might not be available... why not a Clan pack with a similar LP boost? It's a little overdue, tbh, and I'm a straight-up IS Loyalist asking for it! (The Clan "Invasion" (I) mechs would be good candidates, imo.)

No Clan Loyalty Mechs because Faction Play is really dead with a extremely small number of players.

No charity Mech because too recently many game companies got involved with charities only to have it backfire on them especially when they are political charities.

I for one would be very interested in buying Clan mechs with the same Loyalty Point Bonus for FW!

Those Loyalty Medallions at Rank 15 (and per House, and per Clan might I add) is totally out of reach for casual players IMHO.

Ok. Aside from legal issues being skirted in a way poeple might fuss about, seeing a non [F] one eyed atlas would still be ok. between events and mc any color scheme would just be filler, so you could even green scale them and most players wouldn't have issues.
What I'd like to see is revisiting older chassis to add in unique, even oddball hard point versions, just pure mechname-P# varients like the bushwhacker's 1P and 2P. [Hunchback #P, someone took off the ac20 for a light gauss rifle and put jj with arm mounted srm2s on it cause they're insane].worst case they're out a few days moving new geo hard points onto a bare chassis best case a few more sales of older Mech chassis

They came also in events because I have some and never reached ANY rank higher than 6

LP items are never worth it since the effect is divided by 4, the number of mechs in your drop deck. Easier to bring mechs that kill things for each map, you get a lot more than a 1.25% LP bonus bringing the same mech to every map.

PGI has stated in the past that they are loathe to do another charity mech because they have to deal with some very complex Canadian laws that regulate charity donations from international sources. (I'm guessing these laws exist to prevent international money laundering, it's a shame that charities have to jump through hoops because of it.)

As for Sarah's Jenner, if you have it, feel free to play it. But otherwise? Please, let Sarah and her family have peace.

As for political charities, well... It's a shame that so much charity gets politicized. People go out of their way to give you grief over trying to be a decent human being to people that need help. It seems cancer research (especially cancer in children) is one of the few charities that isn't turned into a political spectacle these days. (And I frankly expect one of you trolly bastiches out there to talk crap about a group that's suffering in response to this post. I'd love to be wrong, but I just have that kind of faith in the community.)

Think Moldur wants the Founder's Mech CPLT-C1(F), with pointy nose (honestly, I did not even notice it had a pointy nose until he pointed it out, and I went back to my mechbay to have a closer look with magnifying lens...)

Anyways, CPLT-C1(F) is very similar to the CPLT-BB (Butterbee) in terms of weapons hardpoint & quirks.

But I suppose, if there is a way for MWO to sell these mechs to those who want it...

There is a way, just add them to the shop. BUT then it would be PGI eating their words once again and I don't think they want to take that flak for few $.
Like someone wrote earlier in this thread they were sold as limited edition, PGI asked people few years ago if it's ok for people who bought those to sell them again and that poll had way more No than Yes votes. So that's it.

PS. Kinda same with founders.
