So which one is the better laser vomit?
MAD-4A(S) or STK-7D(S) ? Similar top speed.
MAD-4A: 100ton
+1 Large Laser HSL (Can fire five LL at once!)
STK-7D: 85ton
Simply more laser hardpoints
3xlaser in CT for zombie mode!
Any other similar IS competitors?

If you want the best mid-range assault IS laser vom, the Banshee is probably the best, followed by the Battlemaster. The stalker is 3rd, and the Mad2 is probably 4th.

The new stalker looks like it might end up taking the top spot if it performs as well as the hardpoints lead me to believe it might.

Mad-4A is a bit better now after quirk pass, but it is still huge and crucially, cannot peak AT ALL. Seriously, the cockpit is in the middle of the 'Mech. 156 points of CT armour still aren't enough to save the fat bar steward.

Pretty close to how I would rate them. I would rate Stalker above Battlemaster though, but the top 3 are pretty close.

I’m finding that the stalker 7D is insanely easy to clear 800 damage in. The giga-drill build is straightforward, has ample cooling and range, and reasonably high mounts for even its lowest weaponry. (That last one puts it up on the Banshee.)

Yeah the new stalker is the best in general.
MAD-4A can do 8LL, but its still not great.

I am confused as to why they felt the need to screw with the 4a's PPC HSL. It was able to do triple heavy PPC which was almost worth it, or at least made it unique with the high mounts (found out that's gone the fun way by overheating as soon as I fired them). Seems like a kick in the **** on an already subpar chassis, oh but they kept ppc velocity. What are they pushing me toward here? Trading its huge turret hitbox for a LL isn't great. I'm beginning to wonder how familiar the cauldron is with the things they decide to change because idk what the **** they were thinking here.
The Marauder II is just not a great chassis to begin with. You will get shot when you think you are well behind cover. So much sticks out from the sides and top even without the high mount.

Moreover, MAD-4A should get back its -25% Critical Hit Chance (Receiving).
All other Marauder II variants got this -25% Critical Hit Chance (Receiving); only MAD-4A did not (because it was deemed "too good"?).
