Greetings MechWarriors!

Just a quick post to update you with the Stats and Quirks for the upcoming new 'Mech variants in the 2021 MECHWARRIOR ONLINE ANNUAL REWARDS PROGRAM. So without further ado, here they are!

Not really, albeit that I find it sad the Missile-based side of things seems to be getting some hate in terms of hardpoints. If you want a potentially OverPowered situation, try putting the Ballistic on the Left Torso like the AS7-K4 has decidedly done. Those crazy Left-Sided Ballistics are more rare here in MWO than the Right-Sided ones. But then make it so that you have 1B & ECM LT, 2M RT, 2E LA+RA, plus the ability to mount up to 5 JJ too, and then you would have an OverPowered Apocryphal AS7-K5 that might be too much for MWO to handle having around. But hey, that hasn't stopped PGI from introducing crazy designs like that before, right? :P

I decided to peruse the record sheets for these 'mechs, and noticed the Streak launcher is technically on the wrong side. The record sheets have the launcher on the same side as the Gauss Rifle (though I have no idea why). Also, since the Atlas has a 400XL engine, per the rules it COULD take up to 4 JJ, even though this configuration doesn't come with that many, and it would make the 'mech uniquely terrifying if it had that kind of mobility. It's a shame PGI never figured out how to dynamically cap the number of JJ to the selected engine rating.

All this instead of my original reaction from Sarna, that the AS7-K2 is "supposedly" the origin of the -K3, and couldn't we have a 2nd missile hardpoint so those of us who wanted to "catch-em-all" could build the -K2 for ourselves, only to notice that the record sheet for that one has the Gauss Rifle on the left side instead of the right.

I suppose what I'm really asking is: whose heads to we have to knock around at Catalyst to get them to fix their record sheets to make them make sense? Posted Image (And raise the JJ cap on the Atlas by one).

All looks awesome Posted Image. Though I never pilot an Atlas. But with ECM and JJ's...could be interesting. And now I'll have 6 Urbie's with a 30% C-Bill bonus. Gonna love me a 12 machine gun Viper.

I'm going to see if I can nab an Atlas K3. I recently got the Siren Banshee and really enjoy its mobility and firepower, although right now it has one more jump jet on it than the Atlas.

I seem to remember that the La Malinche Banshee was going to have jump jets originally, but the powers that be for some reason determined that was overpowered? Posted Image What a ton of nonsense!

Maybe I should re-word that just a hair to convey my meaning... I was referring to those crazy Left-Sided Torso Ballistics being more rare here in MWO than the Right-Sided ones in this case. Now... How many of those who entered the chat happen to have a Variant with a Left-Sided Ballistic specific to the Torso that explicitly does NOT have a Right-Sided one at the same time? :(

K3 being based on the K2 is as much a reference to it's use of the updated K2 art (that isn't a consideration for MWO) - https://www.sarna.ne...S7-K2_Atlas.jpg

As for JJ its just that CGL stated it that way, using tonnage elsewhere, and PGI being too specific with any caps.

The Hero Atlas with arm Ballistics the only one left with a difference now.

AS7-K2 Jedra, with light Gauss in the arms a missile and 2 energy hardpoints in each side torso and a single energy hardpoint in the CT.

As it doesn't respect the original design why didn't you call those variant AS7-K3P and UM-R80P?
It hurts my Lorewarrior feelings. I regret having bought MC and a booster pack to qualify for this "rewards".
