HI all
i would like everyone to go look at the NEW VIPER reward, i did alot of testing on the viper, its not so good on fire power, but held up well when testing running with lights, in the ARMOR area, when fully skilled out.
THIS new VIPER F ---- has fire power, if your building a team, or trying to find a team, this mech may help, speed, firepower, and has ok armor and jump jets, hits on all the keys, you have 3 days to get it, and and 8 year cup, if your like me : )

Viper-F(L), with +30% CBills bonus
Almost like a heavier Piranha Cipher, but with +ammo quirks!!
I personally am looking foward to this mech; it's always been the very low ammo that turned me off!

Urbie is hard enough to kill already. But +ECM? With stealth-armor-like properties?

Probably have to get that urbie... seems almost OP 4x LPPC and ECM with good quirks.

historically the loyalty mechs have been mediocre at best. many have low rating in my stats. i dont expect the viper to be anything but a short lived novelty, the atlas as well. the only one i feel will have any staying power is the stealth urbie.

of course as someone who always wants new sources of novelty, i look forward to their drop tomorrow.

id argue "good" is a relative term which varies from player to player. i consider good to be anything in my top 100 mechs under my rating system.

my best 2 loyalty mechs are actually the kfx-g (at 61st place in my stats) and the hbr-f (69th). i consider anything in my top 100 mechs to be good. this also includes the ntg-h (87th), ctf-3l (88th). i also have a (non-loyalty) kgc-000 (33rd).

ratings on some of the others:
cn9-ah - 386th
as7-s - 408th
smn-f (non-loyalty) - 118th
smn-m (non-loyalty) - 517th
vtr-9a1 (non-loyalty) - 145th

so few loyalty mechs have distinguished themselves in terms of its ability to win games/do damage/get kills, but dont get me wrong many loyalty mechs are very fun to play.

WELL here we go--- patch day the viper F start, i also have a new ebon jag-b my second, we will see.
i have seen guys pay big bucks over the years to buy mechs, that way over powered, but i run on a budget like true PILOT, so i think for 10 bucks this mech is worth it.
the VIPER i ran the most was 4 med lazers, if you have a buddy it nasty, this one has a little more front end damage, and sturty frame, max out the armor guys, so ===.
SPEED FIRE POWER, and jets, and high speed computer, and a friend in artic chedda, kills will be had : )

oh its got 8 heavy machine guns, i played last night, its now too late to get it one now, the rewards have been given.

(my own personal guess: 3 months time?)

The Viper's 8x hMG + ammo quirks (So8) is sweet

I now own all three and the viper imo is the lead in damage.. Its literally a larger cousin of the Piranha.

Would be more fun if not tied to So8 and could use 12 HMG with enough ammo.
maybe both of those 4B arms with extra 50% all MG ammo.
I don't know if the mech would actually be ANY better with just MG than MG and E
