If I wanted to build a mech who's sole purpose is to jump jet as high as possible, what mech would that be? A variant of the spider or viper?

I think spiders mount the most JJs, but I don't know how they compare to the Viper's insane jump capability.
I wanna say the JJ balance pass the cauldron did awhile back should've made the Spider jumpier than the Viper, though.

Spider (forget which one atm). Seen one jump across the mining collective. The whole map, one corner to the next side corner.

Cicada and Viper are tied for highest/farthest jump ability (Spider is a very close 2nd). I recommend the Cicada as it can do builds that the Viper can't due to locked engine/heatsinks. The Cicada also has a very nice 20% CD quirk.

Perhaps the Blood Asp BAS-A OmniMech?

By the time the Predator Booster Pack comes out, BAS-A can equip up to 7x JumpJet !!!!!!!

(Personally I feel that the upcoming BAS-E should have one JJ in each leg, for a total of only 2x JJ total.
Currently MWO is proposing two JJ in each leg, for a total of 4x JJ total for 8 tons).

I bought the spider 5V and put max JJ and an ER LL on it
the first game I was jumping back and forth across the map firing the ER LL at range
my team was like "WTF"
the enemy team was like "WTF"
and then i died when i accidentally jumped into the entire enemy team

An honourable mention for the PXH-1, which gets 107.9m jump height to the Cicada/Viper 124.3m on MechDB base stats. However, the PXH1 gets a +15% jump burntime bonus, which bumps it up to about the same, or thereabouts.

The answer is obviously the atlas
