Whats the one mech you should really get during this black friday discount period? I ended up getting a Mad Cat II, a Incubus and a Supernova so far, what do you think is really worth getting?

I don't mean me, just in general, if you had to choose one mech that is really good in any class which would it be?

I bought a Battlemaster 1D, Its pretty cool, not the best but pretty good.

Lots of mech suggestions, and may I suggest that the Dire Wolf DWF-C with ECM in CT is lots of fun?

Whatever you decide to do, be aware that LRM & ATM missiles are rapidly losing its functionality,
partly due to more and more mechs have ECM in QP nowadays:
~Urbanmech UM-R80 with ECM
~Dire Wolf DWF-C with ECM
~Timber Wolf sometimes fielded with ECM torso from TBR-BH (I've recently seen a TBR-Prime(I) with ECM).

i spent all my mc on the rancor during the last sale, so no mc left for heros this time around. of course i bought 2 nova cats, a nightstar (to finish off the civil war escilation pack, i own or have owned every non mc mech before that point), a corsair, and a piranha in addition to the 3 new loyalty mechs.

i still have 10 empty mech bays and will pick up 2 more on monday with the 300mc i won in the last event. i got enough gsp for 2 or 3 more newer mechs, which i still havent decided. im also going to pick up some legacy mechs, since i still have hsp on the ledger for those. especially looking for anything with interesting quirks from the cauldron. fill up maybe 7 more bays and leave 5 bays in reserve.

id be willing to buy another booster pack or two if pgi puts those on sale any time during the holiday season. and hope to see the baker's doezen mechbay sale again. im running out, lol.

Are there any good Clan Heavy or Assault hero mechs worth getting, I have c bonus for light and medium but nothing for them.

looks like the mech sale ended. i guess im gonna have to wait for the next sale or not mind spending a lot of cbills. cbills are almost never a limiting factor for me though.

For next time: Get a Madcat Mk II. They play like fat heavies. There are of course the meta builds, but I find they are pretty versatile outside of that.

The Madcat, when it's skilled up, is just an absolute monster. The MCII-B is designed around energy and ballistics and allows multiple builds that are equally effective. It's a very forgiving mech.

If you don't already have one then the pirates bane locust. Most fun per ton of any mech.

Next sale when it becomes publicly available will be the new loyalty urbie that sports ecm and 5 energy hardpoints in a good layout. But what really makes it shine is the ecm quirk.

10% to ecm effectiveness paired with the skill tree bonus means you get near stealth armor usefulness without the heat penalty.

With the right camo and map you become a hole in the terrain and as long as they don't see your beams you can snipe with near impunity.
