[Telemachus -Salt Wife Salt Life-]

Maybe someone who is knowledgeable can help me. I fresh installed windows/MWO recently (and this has happened before too during reinstalls) and was wondering if there was a way to force refresh the thumbnails of my mechs to show the pattern/colors of the mechs. I know I can go in and change an armor value, save, and then change and save it back and this fixes it individually. I just don't wanna do it for 300 mechs, and it bothers me a lot lol.

I have done it for all my mechs 300 mechs in past reinstalls. Was wondering if anyone knew anything more technical to force a refresh with the server. Or is that not a thing and that's just the way it is and I have to go and do each mech individually?

Yeah i noticed that too when I reinstalled. All i do now is filter by favourite and make sure my frequently used are up to date. The rest I don't even look at.

Noted that you are using Windows for direct MWO install (ie: not Steam installation of MWO).

For what it's worth, my Steam MWO installation mech icons are located at:
C:\Users\USER\Saved Games\MechWarrior Online\UI\MechIcons

Anyone else have more pointers?

Horseman fellow player also suggested your custom replaced thumbnails graphics, if you set the file to Read Only so that the client can't overwrite it again.

ie:
For the future, copy the [MechIcons] folder, set your favorite mech variant thumbnails to Read_Only
(Probably tool late now)

The game crashing can often cause client to lose config, mech icons, and other user profile information.

In order to mitigate this, back up your
%user%/Saved Games//Mechwarrior Online/UI/MechIcons and
%user%/Saved Games//Mechwarrior Online/Profiles folders.
The MechIcons folder is the one you are looking for.

I keep them backued up and saved in order to restore them after whenever my game dies and removes profile info. Happens often so its nice to keep handy.

Oh I see thanks for all the info. Netflix and clicking each mech, changing the armor, and saving it is then. I am using steam too and my folder is in the same spot.

I don't have any backups but maybe I will throw the folder into google drive or something, thank you!
