Okay, I take it back. I will be buying the pack. Not because I'm in love with either the new roughneck or sun spider options, but because they're SERIOUSLY bribing us to do so. Adding the event they just announced, the pack comes with 3000 + 600 MC + cBills + GSP + 30 days premium time... the MC alone sells for about 18 bucks.

Our tomcat equipped "Enhanced Hearing" module. When he heard me opening some plastic or paper bag, he was in front of me in five seconds with the saddest eyes you could possibly imagine, no matter where he was in the house initially.

It would be nonsense to spend your money on 'Mechs that you do not especially like. Think it over and do it only if you are convinced that it's worth it. Or you can wait a bit and observe those 'Mechs in the game.

True, but if I'm thinking of buying MC, the pack plus event comes with a ton plus 30 days premium time, GSP, and, oh yeah, 2 mechs. Not bad for an extra few bucks.

Interesting...ballistic weapon ordering on the Roughneck Bolt RGH-BLT Hero mech's total four (4) LT/RT behaves differently; the top ballistic points on the LT/RT correspond to the very top ballistic hardpoints on the mech. Usually on other mechs like the Mauler it's the other way around, if you know what I mean.

Placed biggest 1x ballistic weapons I could find into LT+RT each, to save weight. Secondary energy weapons

I wish the RGH-BLT is 5 tons heavier so that I can do even more (more ammo, more heatsink, etc.).
But guess that's my problem... I also wished this for WHM-6R, MAL-2P, BAS-B, and even the DWF-UV !!

I am seriously considering getting one so I can use my favorite loadout on it - twin LBX-20. The catapult can do it, too, but just seems to die too fast. I'm hoping the Roughneck will prove noticeably more survivable. Compared to the catapult, you have to remove some leg armor (because there's not enough room for light ferro-fibrous due to the arm actuators), but CASE should help mitigate that.

Why? "Ambush" is a pretty solid OmniMech. If you try it, I am sure that you will like it.

And there is currently Rivals Pack Event ongoing ... Play a few games in "Ambush", reap some neat rewards.

Yeah, I'm doing the Sunspider Ambush first. Had it lifted out with 2 LPL and 4 ERML plus TC and all the sinks it could fit. Lackluster. So I switched the LPLs out for ERPPCs and am doing better with it.

Once I snag the 300 MC for using it in the event, I'll shelf it and move on to a dual UAC/10 roughneck Bolt.

Getting through the challenge was hell with the games I had, but 2x UAC10 and 4ML is nice to play.

That right there - because it's a Clan mech. I can't even imagine wanting to play one.

Roughneck makes a pretty good MRM boat, running MRM60 on mine, it's a tanky beast.

Ambush is fun with the default loadout, although it's a little staved for ammo from the factory.
