Players from ex-USSR countries was a second/third-largest group in MWO at the 2014-2017, but more than 75% of them left the game after the FP changes.

Of all the Russian companies you choose the second worst. The first one is definitely Mail.ru.
Innova was releasing Lineage2 for the CIS market and it was an absolute mess.

I assume we international customers can opt out of the Russian servers just like the rest? No hate just ping times from Australia are unplayable.

And on a side note it might be hard to understand them.

I'm not Russian, but when I read this, it's a big red flag for me. I've heard multiple times the example of a $20 pack (which to US customers is something like 3 to 5 coffees). So if I'm a player who saved for several months to afford that one shiny Mech pack, had to get the wife to agree to it. Had to write a line in the budget and time the payment correctly with payday, you're now telling me that if I want to buy anything else at a price that's way more reasonable for my local currency, I have to completely abandon the one purchase I put so much effort into?

If I was faced with this sort of choice, I can almost guarantee I would not switch over to the RU client and I would never purchase anything ever again.

Not allowing region transfers at launch I get. Phrasing your FAQ like it will never happen (and by extension you either didn't think of it or worse, decided being fair costs too much) is what I think is the mistake.


Let people pay a fair price for what you're selling. Let people keep what they already paid for. You need to work toward both of these.

Regional prices for MWO are very interesting. After all, the income level of the average Russian does not allow actively purchasing anything in the MWO at the current prices.
Will I be upgrading to a 4games client? If that means canceling my current account, I firmly say "NO".
I have a feeling that the overwhelming majority of CIS players who came into the game at least half a year ago will not switch to a new client without the ability to export an allready existing account. This means that only completely new players will be able to use regional prices. Well, or players who will create themselves a second account in the game on a new client.
On the other hand, if the introduction of a Russian server and client, as well as the translation of the game into Russian increases the overall player base in MWO, I will only be glad.
P.S. Players who do not speak Russian, playing on the Russian server, prepare yourself mentally for the fact that you will not be able to understand what they are talking about in your team. Perhaps then everyone will be able to understand to some extent what a language barrier is, and how players who do not know English feel)))) No, this is not schadenfreude.
And, yes, most likely you will learn a lot of new expressions, not just the classic "s*ka bl**t"))))
