I'm having major formattting/presentation issues with using [CO DE] xx [/CO DE], can anyone please help?

1. I wish to add "Courier" font inside the text within [CO DE] xx [/CO DE],
because I wish to color-code it (Clan vs IS), but the "space" I put in changes once every few days (hence affecting my color data presentation charts) when I use the same computer to read below two (2) forum threads?

ie:
[CO DE][fo nt=courier new,courier,monospace]abcde[/fo nt][/CO DE]

Problem:

[font=courier new,courier,monospace]abcde[/font]

2. FYI, I use 'space' to force the font color change; apparently that's one of the few ways to add color to your font as a regular MWO forum user.

OK, now have some idea of what is involved, but still no idea on how to solve this problem.

THIS is courier font (a monospaced font; each character is of *same* width.
ie: W and l are of equal character width on your computer screen.

 
Fonts While Editing Inside [CO DE] [/CO DE] regime: proportional spacing must be used while editing;
each character is of *same* width.
ie: W and l are of *same* character width on your computer screen, while editing.


Fonts Displayed: as you can see, while inside [CO DE] [/CO DE] regime, all characters are FORCED into proportional spacing when you see this with your browser; each character is of *different* width.
 
ie: W and l are of *different* character width on your computer screen, while being displayed.
