Any chance of adding a single button in the mechlab to remove/reset all my cockpit items (back to inventory) on all of my mechs at once, instead of me having to search around through 185 mechs to find where I put my lucky coconut monkey?

Should be pretty simple and user friendly feature!

Thanks!

Been begging for this for years. Supported.

And it’s not like it’s preventing MC item sales, because there’s no way I could buy another green 2017 tournament supporter warhorn even if I wanted one… which I do. Instead I have to search over 100 mechs for it.

People, an option to Remove All from everything seems a tad overboard... Why do that and send it all back to the Inventory (which then makes you have to re-allocate everything) when you could just have a Search Function that would tell you which Mechs have the Item currently Equipped onto them? :o

Just spent 45 minutes (time which I should be playing MWO) to sort thru my 300+ mechs taking out all my cockpit special items:

IS: 19x sets of +CBills bonus hanging/standing items
IS: 6x sets of +XP bonus hanging/standing items

Clan: 18x sets of +CBills bonus hanging/standing items
Clan: 8x sets of +XP bonus hanging/standing items

8x TSP +CBills bonus standing items (BTW, this is one of the very few ways to get orphan +CBills standing items)
49x +CBills bonus hanging items (Stryker/Warden/Hunter/Predator/Bloodname/Crusader preorders + MC Bonus)

Also unequipped my many many warhorns (had no idea I had so many)...

This is getting out of hand... Posted Image

============================================
To MWO: For 2023, there is an opening for +CBills bonus standing cockpit item marketing promotion...

I hate those moments when I wish to find/use some unique cockpit item ... and I have absolutely no clue in what 'Mech this item is placed. Posted Image

Of course, I understand that the underlying reason is the PGI's desire to "force" motivate the players to buy multiple copies of their favorite item.

But as ScrapIron Prime said above, this is impossible with those unique items that can not be bought.

I agree there needs to be a search feature, honestly, should always have had one. The data base is already there, it can't be that hard to code in a search bar. I could see limited use for a remove all button, but you wouldn't want to hit that thing by accident, lol.

I would imagine a simple search bar, exactly as the one in the Mechlab that you can use when you are looking for a 'Mech.

Or you know, put a button right next to where it says "This item is equipped on another 'Mech" that says "Unequip" for just that one item would be fine and dandy for me.

I know this is not ideal, but it's fairly quick. In SELECT 'MECH if you hover over a mech, the cockpit items are listed in the information panel. Even if you have a lot of 'mechs, you can scan them in a timely manner.

I brought this topic up with my wife (she doesn't play)

She tells me- make a spreadsheet/database (I have +100 mechs atm)

I tell her- yeah right, I am not a spreadsheet/database jockey like you (she works for the national archives in the US)

She says- I could do it for you

I say- Sweetheart I don't hate you!

She looks at me funny, LoL

So YES search buttons and/or a reset button would be nice!
