One side is randomly chosen as the Ambushers, and have a set amount of time to set up on the map before the other team. Then the other side drops in and has to survive the ambush by getting the majority of their mechs past the ambush and into a selected area, or by destroying all their ambushers.

Interesting concept! I'd like to try it, sounds more like running a gauntlet.
However it is more likely that as with other game modes it will just turn into everyone on one team trying to kill the other team instead of playing the objective.
Just my opinion is all.
