Well, we got to somewhat factor in the CBT background, I think. And if you want to deliver on-site reports, you need to have some serious budget in the BT universe, heh. Would something as mundane as a mere story writer or even your run of the mill planetary newspaper reporter really have the funds to move around with a unit and report?
Well, I guess that depends on how many markets, between the battlefield and the reporter's home base, will pick up the stories. The more non-rival markets -and even some of those, I would suspect- one can get a story into, the more money would be available.

Ofc, at the end of the day it will likelycome down to how PGI would like to implement and support that, if they want it at all. I don't quite expect them to actually hire story writers and publish novels in book-form as CCP did for EVE-Online. Not saying something like a novelization couldn't evolve eventually, but that's way beyond a casual battle report once in a while.
Oh, heck no... I don't suspect they would want to do that, at all. However, perhaps it would not be a bad idea to support pilot-reporters recording their own in-game vids and dispensing them on YouTube, Vimeo, etc.
Adridos? Liaoaphobia... well, alright but, again, I actually like you Liao players on here. My hatred of House Liao stems from the reading I've done; everything I've read about Liao makes me have a visceral reaction to them, an admittedly unreasonable hatred for words and sources concerning them. After all, even if the Capellan Confederation has good people in the 'nation', the Liao family is bat **** crazy! I think that translates into the idea that I've dealt with enough insanity in my real-life, including some of my own, and I just don't want to deal with it in my favorite game universe.
Back on topic, somewhat... will there be a MercNet in-game, perhaps videos, not just text?
