The matchmaker is so bonked, you cannot even imagine.
4 times solaris in a row in a missile boat.
How would any new player stick to the game, when the matchmaker does this to them.
Same goes for shortrange on alpine peaks.

A Missle Boat for a New Player is in 90% all fail from the Player
not use Special Builds thats in 50% from all Situations useless, use Direct Firing Weapons on Long Range to learn Aim & Hit and becomes Experience.
Generalistic Mechs over all ranges the Best Solutionon all Maps. The matchmaker is ok, but it cannot compensate for the lack of tactical experience or mistakes made by the players who use the wrong mech, the wrong weapons or the wrong tactics and here now Respawn or Pve for easy learn ..learn fast or die and here no new Player can hope to becomes easy Solokills by running around with a Shotgun or Noobtube.Without Teamplay here no Fun and Win.

It is also not the matchmaker that chooses which map the match is played on. It's the players.

Solaris City is the map that has the most counters to indirect fire missile boats and since inexperienced players struggle with avoiding damage from IDF lurms, they may choose a map that disadvantages IDF play naturally.

It is not necessarily a fail. You know, there are people who play games for...fun. I find missile boats boring as hell but heck, to each his own.

This holds true for all fun mechs/builds btw. When I see QP matches and see our "pros" run only meta builds and mechs...ok. I for my part love to play also odd mechs like an Arrow or even a Huginn. When I do well in them, it feels just great

Of course you're right, but if I try to disrupt a tank battle with a Humvee for fun, I shouldn't be surprised to quickly end up as scrap, that's the difference. If I choose a bomber in War Thunder and have an untrained crew is It's my decision that leads to a faster death. Since I almost only use UAcs, I have to live with jamming and try to compensate for it with my play style, and if I use a weapon for an event, even though I don't like it, I know that too I'm not going to get great results there.

You are right about the results. I am just saying I wouldn't force anyone to play Mech X or Loadout Y. As I said before...to each his own

When I take my Huginn for example, I know I will most likely struggle. But it is pretty cool when you perform well.
