A mech with ER larges and LRM20s mauls up close?

Yes it does Lrms work well 300 meters away.

5 tons undertonned is inarguably in "just buy a smaller mech" territory. Literally just put that on a MAD-IIC-B instead of desecrating a SNV like that. You lose a whopping 24 points of total armor to get an improvement in every other metric

Or, if you're too poor to buy a whole new mech that's objectively better for what you're doing, you could at least swap to standard structure and get another heatsink, because the weight saving from endo is a full half ton less than you have left over in your current build.

Supernova is tougher than a Mad Cat II

I mean sure they do, but if someone's firing LRMs and ER Larges at me from 300m away and I'm in a close-range build I press W for one second and then it's GG

Thats fine, Thats what the er large and mediums are there for. I like ers because they seem to complement the lrms at most distances.

In literally every other MW game... yes. Assaults should push.

in MWO, an assault pushing lasts literally 3-5 seconds. So no. Pushing as an assault is not a good idea.

If there's a under 25t light that runs 134kph+ that one should in all honesty push first. Zig zagging between shots and pulling a huge distraction.

I know this may sound stupid but in my experience, if you send out fast lights/mediums into the fray a second before assaults/heavies push in, it can really mess the other team up because they will be disoriented on who to fire at first, and their alphas may not destroy the lights/mediums outright and it'll leave them in cooldown for your assaults and heavies to fight head on.

If you send one or two big mechs to rush first into an equally large force, he will get melted instantly because he's big and scary and everyone is focusing on the big and scary thing, especially the one who comes first.

Yeah, as a guy who usually drives a slow Brawler Medium that tends to buddy up with any Brawler Assaults I can find, I'll usually try to initiate a push and be the one to draw the initial shots from the enemy. I have beefy shield arms and enough armor to soak a few hits, and enough speed to cycle myself back out to avoid letting the enemy focus-fire me.

This used to be standard years ago, imagine hunting dogs and a hunter. It feels like these days the team culture is weak in PUG's.

At least it was an option.
