Thank you MWO for this gem of a freebie !!

Good news! Three bonus mechs for May 2022; total 1,750 2,050 MC + 21days Premium Time + GSP + CBills!

1. Urbanmech UM-R80 with Enhanced ECM +JJ --> May 2022 free mech!

2. Viper VPR-F with lots of machine guns + JJ !

next to no grind on the 1st 2 either!!!

I mean
5k match score
10 matches with 150+ match score?
The atlas is the hard one, 10 saviors will be a pita (10 saviours, 20 most damage kill, 1 x 500+ match score).

The viper and urbie are easy as long as you have a single night sesh the play in the timeframes.

looks like its all the loyalty mechs, since i already own all the loyalty mechs, 3 free mech bays. which is good im out of mechbays. id rather not waste time/xp/gsp on duplicates.

Neat! Now they need to come up with some sort of daily mission set to entice more daily play and revamp premium time to be more inline with established players who need a different set of bonus than the normal grind oriented perks. We have the potential to really drive up active numbers if we can convince 'retired' players there is merit to coming back.

I think that the current owners logic is to shower the current player base with reasons to log in and to entice inactive players to log back in. Since the cost of hosting the servers is small compared to the cost of staff and development they only need a trickle of income to keep them going. So grow the base and hopefully have them pull in more new players who will want to buy mechpacks and other items to catch up to the established players.

Or they're just trying to cash in enough for the finishing of current development schedule here and in MW5 before it all goes legacy. As much as they've reassured us since the staff announcement and roadmap post PGI sale it still
really feels like a wind down. Sad urbie is sad

What are they cashing in on though? The last few months of events should have you well stocked up with premium time and mc and cbills and all sorts of other free goodies they didn't charge for other than the participation needed to get them?

So I'm getting two urbies this month. And a new viper. And yet another Atlas to try and figure out what to put on it before just kind of forgetting it's there. Nice.

With the JJ option and ECM capability the K3 is an excellent Atlas. You can do longrange, you can do up close, and you can do it from places that no Atlas should ever be and with more stealth than an Atlas should ever have.

It's just more I've got like six atlases already but seldom use any of them for some reason. i'm not even really sure why, because it's a pretty decent assault mech all around, and just as importantly pretty fun to play on brawling focused maps.

It's worth keeping duplicates just in case Faction Play becomes a thing again.
I own 3 Rifleman Legend Killers, for example, 3 Hunchback 4SPs, etc.

i haven't played fp in ages, but i would if the wait times were lower. even then i have enough mechs with better performance numbers than these 3 that i think would be better suited to an fp drop. 411 as of last count.

the viperf is stronk in qp, but i figure its lack of range would make it less useful in fp. for urbies, i would probibly queue up my street cleaner, k9, and the loyalty stealth urbie (or the mrm40 urbie, also a loyalty variant). the atlas is not a mech i like very much.

They just reduced it to 250 MS.
TBH I'm mildly disappointed - it's not like 500 is hard, it just take a good mech build and putting in a little effort.

Admittedly, that was on a much shorter time frame (one week). Two weeks to get a single 500MS match really isn't that demanding unless someone's an extreme doormat.

hell, look at some tuber ezmode builds and you can almost do it on a loss, the bigger issue (for me at least) will be fighting over saviour kills.
