If everyone don't mind, I'm gonna go off-topic a little, just in case newer players get the impression that Hero mechs are totally useless!

Useful Hero Mechs
Cyclops Sleipnir (4x ballistic hardpoints in LT/RT, agile for IS Assault)
Battlemaster Hellslinger (4x Snub Nose PPC, -50% Environmental Heat Transfer for protection vs flamer mechs)
Dire Wolf UV (+10% Velocity CT, -Heat CT; unique ballistic arms; need we say more? Posted Image )
Sunspider Ambush (So8 works right out of the box, all weapons cockpit level!)
Mad Cat MKII DeathStrike
Archer Tempest
Atlas Kraken (-10% Cooldown all weapons, -10% Heat !)

Platinum Collection Mechs (+30% CBills bonus):
~Actually Atlas AS7-D-DC(P) with ECM +30% CBills bonus recently replaced my Atlas Kraken as my new favorite!
~Most of the Platinum Collection Mechs are good; these are very popular mechs with +30% CBills bonus on top!
KDK-3(P) --> finally !!
MCII-B(P)
NCT-B(P)
MAL-MX90(P)
HBK-4P(P)
BL-6B-KNT(P)
ACW-A(P) with ECM + sweet SO8 bonus
Jagermech JM6-DD(P)
Cicada CDA-3M(P)

1. Huginn: low alpha and low dps...I think nothing but the old SRM4 quirks pre-nerf (I think it was 40% SRM4 - sounds much but remember: you need uptime and you could also remove the existing quirks) could save this mech

2. Oxide - the same illness all Jenners suffer from: huge CT and needs to get close with its SRMs. 32 dmg alpha doesn't sound bad for a light but the spread is still there...and all SRMs are in the arms.

3. Grid Iron: low energy hardpoints of the arms, 1e in the head, and the gauss quirks won't save it because of the rest of its shortcommings. I think it would also be okish with its pre-nerf quirks (same as the the Huginn)

4. Grinner: It was really good but the power creep left it in the dust. It is also not really agile and will eat shots and no weapon quirks on top of that. Actually this applies to all Wolfhounds.

The sad thing is that 1,2 and 4 were good mechs once but the power creep changed that to meh mechs. In case of 1 and 2 there were also nerfs heaped on top of it (before the power creep started) which made them in case of the Huginn a piece of junk
