Unlimited JJ + LRM heavy and assualt in Polar is bad, in one game there were two and lrmed me to red from both sides. In other maps at lease you can get cover in basement but no such luxury in polar

I find that unlimited JJ is detrimental to anyone who likes to 'fly'. They make easy targets for LRMs. Saw the most unhappy Dire Wolf in one game, he just kept going up and up, and was upset about three near constant streams of LRMs abusing his legs. He didn't stick the landing... unless you count wreckage on impact as landing.

Frankly, if you can't find a way to not get LRM'd on Polar, which does have cover in multiple pathways covered by high ridges, some buildings, as well as the existance of AMS, ECM and a few skills to help, then... if you can't beat them, join them. When they fly up, show them how vulnerable and open they are by LRMing their arses.

Cheers to PGI on the weekend event queue. It was the most fun I've had in MWO in quite a while. It helped that there were no groups and the variety in the events was great.

The Urbie Derby was a hoot. I hope this is done regularly.

Well done PGI!

Great fun, played much more than usual in the heavy/ assault events. The unlimited jj events (in heavy /assault)where a bit odd leading to fun if LRMs are used....
I tend to play a lot less QP now as I feel the op lights spoil it (a large mech CANNOT leave the deathball to flank or do something odd as it's death by 50 odd mgs and micros in the back otherwise)
I'd like to see these events on all the time, but with a shedule so we know what's happening when....

The New EQ was some of the most fun I have had in WMO in a long time. When I saw that jump jets were unlimited, that was both fun and surprising. Got to turn my Nightgir into a apache helicopter and rain missiles from the sky. Got to have a one vs one duel with a madcat in the sky! I will never get to do this in a normal game, and I love that! That and the urban mech only was really fun too. puts everyone on even ground having to use the same mech.

The 4 deck events felt some what like the table top game, very fun.. so much more fun than quick play for me.. The urbie derby surprisingly wasn't as fun as i thought it would be, needed a 4 deck of urbies..

Also for future reference add training mechs to the event for new players.

Check the descriptions, Dave, the Urby Derby was not a dropdeck mode. You didn't need 4 Urbies.
