There, I said it. I'vce been able to play three matches in event mode so far, and except for the last one, *every single mech* on both teams was an atlas. The last one had a token hunchback and catapult player, one non atlas mech on each side.

That said, it was kind of nice to get back to actually see a close range brawl centric match where plenty of playerrs on both sides of the match both scored kills and got killed themselves again with mechs actually trading shots trying to do more damage faster then the other guy. I don't know if that was the developer's intentions, but I'm kind of hoping this new event mode stays just for how nice it is to play the game like it used to play. Everyone trying to peak out of cover for the minimum time period to gauss, ppc or laser snipe until suddenly realizing the match timer is nearly out and suicidally rushing to the objective or to actually score kills after all is boring and I kind of think that's part of why the game has seen such a decline in the player base recently.

Hopefully this specific event mode sticks around for awhile. Just because the matches I've had under it are genuinely fun again, no other reason.

Would love to have an Atlas-only Event, but not it's obviously not for everyone!

I would have trouble deciding on which Atlas to field in such an Event:

AS7-BH (hero)
AS7-KR (hero)
AS7-K3(L)
AS7-S(L)
AS7-D(F)
AS7-D-DC(P)
AS7-RS(C)
AS7-K

Now, if only there is a way to make AS7-K a special mech of some sort...
(At least my AS7-K now has a Platinum Skin too!)
