Hello everyone!
Does tcomp work or not?
Installing tcomp on mechs has no effect on the characteristics of the installed weapon.
What am I doing wrong?

The mechlab preview doesn't take the tcomp into account. It took 10 years to get quirks separated from skills, so you need to be patient with these things.

If you check your in game weapon range you'll see it takes tcomp into account properly.

Yes, thank you! In testing grounds, I see that the range and zoom are increasing. But targeting gain time boost does not work! I hope I understand correctly that this should reduce the aiming time (for streak srm or lrm)? 78.8% reduction in aiming speed is impossible not to see!

No.

The Target time bonus is the time it takes for you to get the paper doll and loadout of a mech.

If you want to increase lock-on speed, equip a BAP (beagle active probe) and get the sensor range nodes in the skill tree. Lock-on speed is dependent on sensor range.

Only indirect fire locks (target out of sight) are affected by sensor range. Missile locks in line of sight are as fast as they get.

Thanks for the suggestions!
I tried different options: equipped the mech with BAP and command console or BAP and TCOMP, as well as only BAP, CC or TCOMP separately. Differences in the aiming speed (lock on) I didn't notice.
Surprisingly, there are so many modules performing the same function - collecting information about target, but none of them accelerates missile guidance.

For LRM & ATM targeting, you almost must use BAP, since an ECM opponent is near you, their ECM will prevent you from locking onto target. At least with BAP equipped, you can continue to lock onto enemy should you choose to.
(I would advise you to do something against the nearby ECM foe very near you though...)

BTW, fewer folks use ATM nowadays, especially after ATM basically lost its IDF (indirect fire, aka lob it over the hill).
